  2. Normally I'd be thinking about sticking up a poster and details for our next gig, but I've been informed that it has sold out already. Don't be too impressed. The venue is less than 100 capacity, there are 5 bands in total playing and the headliners, Social Youth Cult, are the hot new goth band who have just released their debut album.

Ah, I've built a few similar projects... Still, there's a huge unknown from mounting the board in the enclosure before testing it.... I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
  4. Nice one. My wife is a lot more in to them than I am, although I do find their covers to be really well done. In fact my main band covers their version of Get ready/You really got me (not as good obviously). I wasn't aware they were coming over here until I saw it pop up on my feed this morning and I jumped on it. Most ive ever paid to see a covers band though 😀
  5. Anybody who's a fan of Manowar or Pearl Jam should be all over this. GLWTS
  6. For sale, a Hipshot Kickass bridge (4 string) in chrome. This has been hanging around in a drawer with lots of other bridges and bits and bobs. It looks new though I suspect it's been fitted previously (but not by me). It comes with the adjustment key, 5 screws and the replacement/extra saddles shown in the image. It's a standard replacement Fender pattern. The bridges sometimes come with a couple of springs but the latter weren't supplied when I bought the bridge. I should be able to ship for around £3.00 in the UK. Any questions please just ask
  7. Balls. Prices back up. Wish I'd spotted this earlier.
  8. A quirky gig last night.... My Wife & I went and saw the fantastic 'El Pony Pisador'. Impossible to describe but their wiki gets pretty close: "El Pony Pisador is a musical group from Barcelona that mixes various styles of folk and traditional music from around the world, including Celtic music, sea songs, bluegrass, tarantella and yodel." Great fun! We discovered them at Cropredy Festival in the Summer and loved them. Last night was in a tiny village hall near Chichester...
  9. Government keeps raising taxes Tim and you are correct people need to spend and government needs to raise funds to run the country. I also agree that we are not all poor but it really is a K shaped economy. Some people are doing fantastic. Some are really feeling the pinch and the vice is squeezing every last drop out of the low hanging fruit. This is the USA but we are the same: Now any rational person (this is not party politics) would look at this and think feck me the public are playing their part. Corporations are paying a tiny fraction and the interest rate on the deficit we have to borrow is enormous. Let’s try and balance the books, boost productivity, get people out spending, learning and becoming more productive, healthier and happier. Nope. Instead they cut social spending, tax individuals more rack up more debt, print more money to cover the deficit, watch the rich buy more houses, cars, stocks, gold etc and the poor get poorer as inflation rises and then rinse and repeat. I know I am a stuck record but honestly fcuk the lot of them. Particularly central bankers. They are either idiots or are genuinely sick in the head.
  10. I'm sure the old Sei bass website had a photo of this one on it for years. Fantastic looking bass!
  11. Just received my order. It appears to have come from Sweden rather than Ohio and there were not charges to pay. The tools look to be top quality and it only took eight days from ordering to delivery.
  12. "Hello police, this is FMIC. Someone has raided the dumpsters that we were using to carefully store our newly acquired inventory and made off with lots of stuff".
  13. I've got my tkt for that too... 👍
  14. Paul posted a wanted and I offered him a PJ (no surprises) bare body that I had picked up off the forum and not got around to building up, and in the course of our comms I was also able to offer a set of aerodyne pickups and covers that I had acquired to suit. Quickly paid, and Paul quickly messaged to let me know it had arrived and he was happy and posted feedback. Thank you for your purchase, I look forward to seeing the completed bass. GLWTB
  15. As @tegs07 will probably explain. Produtivity and a nation's wealth depend on people spending money and paying taxes. If people stop spending the money they earn (I don't believe loads of people are poor) then they're not paying the taxes. The government will then have to raise income tax... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ce8g6kdgzelo The banks will be giving the government statistics on savings.
  16. Here in Canada Long & McQuade are saying they will be available sometime in 2026.
  17. Was supped to be seeing Gary Numan later this month but have had a gig come in. Next live act will probably Broken Peach at Underworld in Jan. Really love what they are doing with covers.
  18. I think the OLPs are great for experimenting on, cheap and loads of space to work with.
  19. Cool transcription, thanks. I tend to be a 'nothing above the 7th fret' player but I'll give it a go...
  20. I just bought a pedal from Andy and it arrived in perfect condition. Buy with confidence from this BC'er.
  21. Sei original headless 5 string bass… as you can see from the pics it is an absolute stunner. This bass plays beautifully… very rare to find Sei basses like this for sale. Feel free to message me… collection preferably from Bognor Regis though I could post if needed.
  22. This is one of my favourite basslines ever, and I've never got round to learning it. No excuse now. Thanks, Greg.
  23. Today
  24. What a bargain. Pre amp cost £120, so getting a decent bass for £80!!!!
  25. BTB may of had a mid life crisis-revamp? Same as the SR range. Earlier being more slab bodied, more like the current Gio GSR. Latter have the super comfy worn pebble body. Check the Ibby Wiki, 'prolly a certain year of change over. https://ibanez.fandom.com/wiki/Portal:BTB_series The digging in edge is there on most more slab bodies, but some of these look to have more of a ridge...
  26. Bought a lovely PJ body plus Aerodyne PJ pickups from Aidan. Not only was the price great but his comms were impeccable. Everything arrived next day and it was carefully packaged in bubble wrap/sturdy box. What a top guy and a real credit to the Basschat community. Thank you.
  27. Nobody's forcing you to add yourself to the list; it was to gauge numbers initially.
