IME you need the on-line version to promote sales of physical media. I buy CDs (and vinyl if there is no alternative) because I like physical media and because it supports the bands who produce it. I'll use a streaming service to check out new bands but if I like what I hear I'll buy a CD. The sort of person who is happy with streaming is unlikely to shell out for a CD or other physical media because if your album isn't on their favoured streaming service they will just make do without listening to it.

DGBass started following Ashdown MAG300 EVO II bass guitar amp head

This is my Ashdown MAG300 EVO II bass guitar amp head which is now surplus to requirements. It's an early EVO II 300H model with the black carpet covering which is in very good condition all round. What can I say about these amps other than they are generally solid, reliable workhorse amps, and its super easy to get a useable tone from them. This one is in full working order, all controls work smoothly and crackle free, VU light works fine. Ashdown rate these as 300 watts RMS / 500 watts peak @ 4 ohms. I've used this often with a 4 ohm cab and it runs perfectly. It's fan cooled so probably not ideal for home or bedroom use as the fan is audible at home volumes. Used sparingly as a back up and occasionally rehearshal amp by me and never abused. It's in very clean condition throughout. I'd prefer collect in person, tea and biscuits included free so you can try it out. I may consider posting to a UK mainland destination if a buyer is willing to arrange their own courier to collect. PM/message me if that is something you are interested in. Not looking for trades, thanks as i'm "thinning the herd" for now.

I tend to back off bass slightly, small boost of 800 and treble. Sounds great with a Jazz or Precision.

Suggestions for an inexpensive P Bass with a Jazz neck
gjones replied to Minininjarob's topic in Bass Guitars
I agree. I decided to take a punt and I was surprised, as the neck is pretty good. No sharp fret ends or anything. The action is not bad but could probably do with a bit of a tweak by a guitar tech to make it 'really' good. -

It looks like a lot like my 2005 MIM - they definitely don't spray the under pickguard part to 20 cents or something #everylittlehelps

Bought an Ampeg Scrambler off Marty. Great price and great condition. It was posted really quickly and packaged really well. All in all, the perfect BC transaction! Thanks, Marty 😁

Yep I agree that’s the place to start Raise input gain until it’s too gnarly and start off with flat EQ and mid selector on 800 and go from there Shouldn’t be any crackles or odd noises coming from the pre amp tubes and enjoy its glory !

Wow! I've just had a search through the archives and have found 'photos from that gig in 2004! In one you can make out my guitar stand and no! There are no other basses to be seen! I have no idea why, but I'm definitely sat down on a stool witha broken bass ha ha! Probably learned my lesson!

Suggestions for an inexpensive P Bass with a Jazz neck
fretmeister replied to Minininjarob's topic in Bass Guitars
The cheaper the neck the more work it is likely to need so sometimes that £50 ebay neck might need £150 worth of fretwork to get it playing right. Mind you, sometimes a real Fender neck will need that as well.
