For me, this. The Japanese Fenders are consistently well manufactured instruments. As for the more expensive variants, I haven't really tried many, as I've not been in the market for one. I would expect my SVLs are easily on a par with the Custom Shop. I really only got those because Simon (Law, the man who makes them) asked me if he could make me a bass. They replaced the two Japanese PB70US basses I was using at the time. Should have kept them. Would particularly like my ash bodied one back.

Not too bad Dave, not had too many pics taken so not posted much. Yup the singer is a lefty....that's one of the reasons I tend to use a Shorty on Glam gigs otherwise I end up sword fighting with him......

Does anyone know what basses Status are actually producing, every page relating to the S2, S23, Series 3 seems to state they are not currently in production, without asking Rob directly. Silly question maybe but....

What @mike257 describes sounds like heaven, probably in more ways thatn one. For most of us the 'Festival' is a beer festival, a charity event or an overgrown village fete which has grown from one local band using their own PA to a multi band event with a hired in PA. Often the PA has been set up by a hire firm but the organisers have saved money by not hiring a sound engineer. Typically you come across a couple of blokes who have no idea of how the PA was set up and are scared to touch anything. They'll spend 20 mins plugging things in at random and line checking then huddle down by the desk with no sound check staring at all the scary knobs whose function eludes them. @warwickhunts 'can you start your set know' sounds very familiar. -

Ain't that the truth! It's not unusual for the people who won't give you the information to be the ones asking "why there aren't more gigs?" or "why haven't you organised a reherarsal?" I've now used Rallly successfully once but still have one errant band member who hasn't filled in dates for three months on the second poll I sent out. I think I'm going to plug away with it for a while and see if it can become a habit -
I found the FSR Fenders to be the best. The one I have is an absolutely amazing instrument. I was luck enough to try a few of them and picked the one I liked the best. I have two basses I will never sell and this is one of them. The rest I’m sort of ambivalent towards.

I picked this up from @Basilpea not that long ago. It's a great cab, but it isn't a cosmetic match to my other AT210, so being the fickle person I am I want to replace this... It's got some small dents from being gigged, but overall in good condition and absurdly light. You can pick it up with two fingers! It's also very loud. W52 x D33,5 x H57 cm 600 watts at 4 ohms 103dB SPL Also comes with GR Bass soft padded cover. GR say: The lightest 2×10 bass cabinet in the world.
