Thanks for your interesting and enlightening answers. 👌. I like to know a little of what i sound like ( for playability)and getting direct from the amp is a good measure.I have used a monitor just in front of me getting my sound only ( i can usually hear eveyone else OK), but there isnt always room.tried IEM, but dont get on with them very well. And yes going through the PA particularly the SUB does help. THanks again.
I have always put my bass combo on the ground for a 'True Bass sound', but am now considering using a stand just to raise so i can hear better ( i am aware of monitoring), my question is do they detract the sound with the amp being off the ground?
Thanks
What a shame, it seemed like this maybe the case as I have seached for sometime to get a supplier. I did use them once at a rehearsal studio and the sound mangement was exactly what I wanted.
Hi, Thanks for the reply. I dId get to this page the links go to the appropriate traders website but the products arent stocked, this happened on all the links on the right, it seems the only stocked items are the BH and BQ HEADS.
I am looking for a music shop in the UK that stocks the TC Electronic RH450 head and or Combo's ( The real amps) , but when I click on the links on the TC website they come up blank???
Anyone?
I have paid from £5 to £50 for strings and while the 50 quid ones are more articulate and have better tone, for most of my uses the cheapies are more than adequate. One point though, expensive instruments tolerate cheap strings and cheap instruments usually need more expensive strings.
Does anyone use the DR Black Beauties, do they have a good Low to High mids response (with finger playing), last fairly well, or are they just pretty?
Cheers
Hi,
Wanting to build a bass from scratch, any advice would be appreciated regarding woods to use for the body and neck, obviously with a sensible budget in mind.
Cheers
