  1. Past hour
  2. I have an idea, and it is.
  3. Ah so it’s you in the balaclava doing wheelies on your Sur-Ron.
  4. 1W RMS = 133W PMPO. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/267370732623 (see the bottom of the box)
  5. Contact Strings & Things, the UK distributor for EBMM perhaps?
  6. Pity it wasn't sent insured, or tracked.
  7. Dress rehearsal for next weeks gig, so all using our own gear. Shuker 3 -> Swiff Audio wireless -> TC Electronics BH800 -> Tech Sound Systems 2x12 (modified). I had trouble with my sound all evening. Couldn't get it right it was always too toppy or clanky, or not bassy enough. The only thing that has changed is that my strings are now DR Neons (Christmas gift). I finally got it right on the last song. Flat EQ but with the bass boosted to 4 o'clock. Spectracomp tone print on full.
  8. Hi, I just bought a Lakland 55-02 Skyline to join my USA Stingray 5 which I’ve had for around 15 years. Pretty impressed. Getting used to the different string spacing. I know quite a few of you have both. Interested to know your thoughts. Thanks
  9. Fender American Professional ii Precision bass in 3 tone sunburst with rosewood neck. Born in 2023 and in very nice condition with next to no marks or fret wear. Weighs in at just over 3.9 kg from what the Bassbros advert said when I bought it. Currently wearing a recent set of DR nickel lo riders 45-105 and sporting a nice low action of around 2mm at the 12th fret. comes complete with the original hard case and certificate of authenticity and the truss road tool. I am mainly interested in trades for the equivalent or similar jazz bass, however the weight needs to be 4kg or less. 4 and 5 string are both an option.

  11. Appreciate the tips bud. I saw a Harley Benton spaceship 40 on sale for 90. I used pedal playground to do this: Came out a seminar and it had sold. I have room to add a phaser on bottom. I could also get the small ditto to help space also. Your advise is very valuable. I look into the 60 also. I am thinking is very much a to big. I want a pedal like the genzler reQ but much smaller.
  12. It’s a nice bass, but 4 hours drive!?? - fair do’s - feel free to send me a direct message to discuss!
  13. Thanks Geoff, We should probably continue this conversation via PM. I'll message you.
  14. Hello mate, I'll take it! I'll send you a PM. Cheers, James
  15. My vid is still on there too. 6 years ago... I too sold mine eventually as I went to 5ers for a band at the time. Damn if it wouldn't just be perfect for what I'm doing now 🤦
  16. The No1 rule when starting out is to get a bigger board than you need. You're inevitably going to add to your pedal collection, and it's a real PITA to strip down your old board, and set up a new one, for the sake of a few extra inches. Also, having a little extra space around each pedal makes them easier to connect, and swap out if need be. Having a super-tight board, crammed to the max with just the right tools for the job, only comes with years of experience.
  17. Today
  18. Par for the course these days, especially with compact/class D stuff. LD Systems offer 1U power amps. Their PA speakers get good reviews and I've been impressed by those I've heard (I auditioned a couple of their stick and sub models when I was looking for my PA a few years back). Lab Gruppen are definitely worth checking out, too, but they ain't cheap. If you want shallow rack depth, power outputs are likely to be lower. Quart from a pint pot, etc.
  19. Thanks! I’m tempted to replace the 4 inline tuners first to see if that fixes the problem
  20. Following on from Thursday night's open mic, Mein Host had asked me if I'd like to play bass for his duo at a local pub, the Market Vaults, on Friday (last night). I said yes, and a set list arrived on Friday lunchtime. A few of the songs I knew, most of them I'd at least heard a few times before, and one or two I wasn't at all familiar with, so spent a while copying chord sheets from Ultimate Guitar and having a quick play through some of the songs. Headed into town on the evening and all the car parks were rammed - managed to park a few minutes walk away. Fortunately I was only carrying the 6" cab, TC BAM200 amp, gigbag, and Sei headless fretless, so I coped. The Market Vaults is a long thin pub, and we were at the back. Immediately to the right of the stovepipe PA is the passageway to the toilets, so the photo shows the entire available performance area - I sit to play, so I was sitting on the bench on the left with my amp just by me and the monitor right behind me, and just enough space between tables to put my tablet stand in. The gig itself went well. A couple of fluffs (not all by me) and I hadn't got the chords written down right for Crazy, plus for some reason I hadn't got the final draft of my chordsheets on the tablet so I had to remember a couple of the songs. And afterwards I was asked if I'd like to do more gigs with them (I said yes).
  21. Up for sale is this passive Sterling by Music Man Pete Wentz signature StingRay bass in a very eye catching Fiesta Red finish. I had a change of heart and withdrew my 40th anniversary Squier Jazz ad recently, so have put this up for sale as although I love it, it's the bass getting used least with my band and I've recently bought another bass. This is a very cool, passive StingRay in fantastic condition (small scratch on the back of the headstock pictured in the only sign of wear), with one of my favourite necks I've ever had on any bass. Roasted maple, stays straight throughout all seasons and feels great in the hand for those who like a chunkier bass neck. This also comes fitted with Dunlop Straploks and crucially; high quality Schaller BM tuners to replace the stock tuners which were to be blunt, utter garbage. As a passive bass with a single humbucker with just volume and tone controls it's a different vibe from a regular active StingRay, sounds great as a passive bass and it's a snarling rock beast with a fat sounding passive humbucker that you can also get a lot of mellower tones out of. Also comes with a good quality Ritter gig bag; has a broken handle (as pictured) but all other straps and handles are in good working order. I would much prefer collection in person or half-way meet if you're reasonably close to Brighton in the South East. However, I do have a sturdy cardboard box to send this in so could look into sending at an additional cost to the buyer, and at their own risk (as it's not in a hard case so can't be insured by courier services). Please see my feedback for assurance of past honest dealings on the forum: Any questions, send me a message. Thanks.
  22. Billy Sheehan: Advanced Bass Bass Guitar DVD up for sale: As new, case and disc in perfect condition - £10 including postage in the UK only. Here's my feedback from previous Basschat transactions:
  23. It used to be the case that you had plug in the interface before opening the editor. However we updated it so that the ports get scanned whenever you open the MIDI preferences menu. Glad you’re enjoying the pedal.
  24. Great purchase from Martin... and fast delivery. Cheers! Recommended 👍
  25. I've been having a fair few of late, no headaches (for me), but they really leave me feeling meh in a sort of unspecified way.
