  2. A car place would need the body only so you would have to take the bass apart. It’s also depends what type of finish you would want. A car sprayer would probably use 2k type paint, so paint and a hardener. It’s quicker to apply and also doesn’t need cure off for as long before polishing in the same way nitrocellulose or 1k poly would. They probably wouldn’t do nitrocellulose if that’s what you wanted. So from a luthier perspective, you are looking at stripping the bass to body, taking any existing clear coat off, prepping the colour already on, priming, new colour then clear coat, cure, polish and reassembly. As a rough estimate, I allow poly clear coat 7-14 days to cure and nitro 14-30 days before polishing. 1️⃣ Base Labour (stripping + prep + rebuild) Strip existing finish: 4–6 hrs depending on poly thickness → £80 – £120 Repairs, dents, grain fill, sanding: 4–6 hrs → £80 – £120 Reassembly + full setup: 2 hrs → £40 – £60 Subtotal labour so far: £200 – £300 And this is BEFORE paint. 💰 Polyurethane Refinish: £350 – £450 (Primer, colour, poly clear, materials, and labour included.) 💰 Nitrocellulose Refinish: £400 – £550 (More coats, more labour, longer cure — hence the higher price.) My costs would include stripping, reassembling and basic setup….I’d feel like I was taking the p*ss otherwise 🤣
  3. Just purchased a practice combo from David. A seamless transaction throughout with the item arriving exactly as described. Great communication, prompt shipping, and expertly packaged. Many thanks again.
  4. Me, with my Spectors, Tech21 DP-3x and a plectrum are learning Star Girl by McFly and Shut Up and Dance by Walk the Moon. I've also this week learned Chelsea Dagger, Zombie by Jamie T not doing of the same name by Cranberries. I'm having a whale of time.
  5. that's the numbers i recall
  6. Oh, I managed to run myself over whilst carrying out an emissions test (MOT) on an automatic vehicle which I had left in reverse gear (auto parking brake). Driver's door open, floored the accelerator, it hurt a bit 😳. Back on track. ParcelForce did their best to destroy the bass. It survived thankfully.
  7. I’d say he’s quite baked.
  8. Sander makes excellent basses... I had two De Gier Evolution 6ers at one point, fantastic build quality.
  9. Sorry I'm late to the party, but is the Xvive suitable for an active bass?
  10. I’d have to leave basschat …. 🥺
  11. Some of the captures/ models built in and a heap of captures from users on the cortex cloud. Same goes for IRs. You can upload your favs and save them/use them on the device
  12. Baked Potato or Jacket Potato?
  13. Here’s a list of the bass specific built in gear. There’s a Loveyone Meatball filter too and some nice reverbs There are of course heaps of guitar specific drives, amps and cabs you can experiment with as well!

  15. These were made in Korea.
  16. No, it was definitely Brian Harvey, but I can see what you mean.
  17. Yes I have one. I’m in love with it! I’ve never been able to hear myself on stage better with it off to my side leaning back. The DI is great and it’s been flawless. I have everything flat and occasionally use the tilt control but that’s it.
  18. There was jacket potato involved, apparently. I met Brian, Tony and their bodyguard when East 17 were in the first flush of their success. They were what you might describe as robust individuals. It's not an act, they are genuine chavs.
  19. I have the 5 string version of that! awesome colour!
  20. Time marches on - Helloween
  21. Brian Harvey, takes a certain amount of genius to run yourself over.
  22. Cool little phaser pedal from the JHS budget line, was on my board for the last 8 months or so but I just prefer the more simple Phase 90 for my use, the less knobs the less chance of me fiddling during gigs! It can pull off the Phase 90 vibe and also do much more extreme sounds with the feedback knob switched on. Pretty much as new except having Velcro on the bottom, with the original box and bits and pieces. Price includes UK postage, will knock £5 off for local collection
  23. Resistance is futile. Soon you will be assimilated into the abstinence hive.
  24. Honestly … even a guitard would have spotted you as a ringer. Now give us the real @Obrienp back before we mince your tentacles.
  25. Some more photos of this lovely little U-bass, which I can't believe hasn't sold!
