Thanks. I can’t really buy any more pedals until I’ve shifted some.

It Sounds like I should probably pick up a used crossover ... perhaps you could point me in the direction of something suitable , ideally smaller rather than bigger .... I really was looking to avoid ending up hauling a rack around with the next pickup being "proper" Active Tops

It’s great, perfect, but it has space for the power supply and it adds about a 1/3 to size of the unit. So I wasn’t able to get that case in my bag but I could easily fit the anagram. I just want something as an alternative that’s as small as possible for chucking in a bag.

IMO it's important to engage the audience at certain points with some craic, particularly if players have swapping around with instruments to do. I've seen too many bands missing the opportunity to connect with a crowd, appearing to be up on stage to please themselves rather than the folks who've turned out to see them. 'Dead air' - as any silence between songs is a term used on radio - can be avoided with a brief hello, how ya doing, great to be here, we're hoping to give you a good night, etc etc. whilst fellow band members are changing settings etc. It forms a bridge between band and crowd just as the music does, and as said already by some, can become integral to putting on a great show. As our bands designated front man I have to do this as our guitarist also plays sax, I have both a fretted and fretless bass onstage to swap over, I even very briefly introduce my fretless during swap over - as most folk would not realise it's any different to my fretted (apart from even more bum notes 😂) whilst our keys player changes settings on his keyboards as well as looking after the sound mix. My staple patter at some point is always 'apparently the louder you applaud and shout between songs, the better we play' and it works at many gigs. It's all part of the show, connecting the band with the audience 😎

I have two used Spector USA bass bridges that once belonged to NS2 basses I no longer own, I had taken these off in favour of black hardware. One is the heavy all-brass version, this has faded somewhat on the bass side. I’m not sure if this could be polished up. The other is the lighter, aluminium version, this one in better condition. It is considerably lighter. Note: these will not drop into a Euro bass without some re-routing to enlarge the space slightly. £150 for each bridge or £285 for the pair. Price includes UK shipping.

Doubt it How would that have come about without going before the Magistrate the other day? More likely the case got stayed because someone had the flu. More hopefully the Magistrate baulked at the magnitude of it and kicked it upstairs? What I find odd is you can see a bunch of "first hearings" the previous day all set down for the same 10am time and all rubber stamped as tbc. You would think CPS vs Mason has to have been dropped or charges upgraded for there to have been no hearing at all.

Correct. 👍
