Here's a Stomp XL in excellent condition. I bought this a few weeks ago from samkeen (I am using a couple of his photos as they're better than mine) but it's not really doing it for me, so I'm back to good old pedals. There's a tiny mark on the front that I've tried to photograph and it comes in the original box. It has velcro on the rear. It also has the original power supply. Postage is included, but collection is possible from either Silverstone or Maidenhead.

Regarding the Jazz Bass with a single rear pickup, I think you might be thinking of early-2000's era Dan Glenn. He was/is(?) and L.A-based fretless player who had a beard, looked a bit like Mo Foster and played a fretless Modulus Jazz that had one rear pickup. Could it be you have got the two a bit mixed up/ mixed together?

I sent a new FX block proposal to Ivan from Darkglass proposing a synth fx block idea. It's basically the same blueprint of Entropia but synth engine where you can play around with LFO, Filters, Dirt, Sine waves to achieve classic synth tones. Just like how Entropia has different templates, same with Synthropia where you can achieve song ready synth tones like what you hear on Stevie's boogie on reggae woman, PYT, 24k Magic , moog related sounds and then tweak parameters to further improve your desired tone. The icon I made is just a quick render during my break at work. I just matched the same design elements in the Anagram's fx block icons. I really hope they have something synth related lined up in the future.

We seem to get lumped in with 'darkwave' (recently played gigs with Sisters of Mercy, the Mission, Lebanon Hanover, She Past Away, etc ) but we're not. The greek crowd, well you can see from the audience shot, look sort of goth/darkwave - I don't get the connection. Check out our Spotify and you tell me

It was originally an illustration of Dan Dare from the Eagle, but a glitch in the BC system a few years back deleted all our avatars. I replaced it with the KiteKat tin in a moment of silliness and never got around to changing it.

If you know another one bites the dust you probably could get Good Times as it was inspired by that (John Deacon was in the studio when good times was made), or rappers delight, same bassline, or many many other songs. In fact, on whosampled, 254 other songs. So whatever bucket you are in, you probably have heard it somewhere! -

Woodinblack replied to rodoyo9773's topic in General Discussion
What are you adding a 550W power supply to? Noone can answer if 550W is enough, unless they know what you are powering with it! Replacing the power supply of an amplifier won't do anything unless the power amp output stage was underpowered, which is unlikely, and it would have to be the right power supply so that is no use. And the question about class D or AB makes no sense with a power supply, that is just about amplifiers I have blanked out your link as it is of no relevance to bass players. -

I'm not sure that these modules are what you're looking for. They are PSU (Power Supply Units...) specifically for powering Cisco routers in IT systems, and have no audio function whatever. They cannot, ever, be connected to speaker cabs, whatever the ohmage. Is it rather a 550W audio amp module you're after..? -

I kind of understand what you mean - but they must be seeing how well the JMJ and other mustang models are doing and decided to do a similar model. Don't worry, they still do the mad and wonderful stuff too (I'm sure they would do these in shorter scale too) -

I've never pushed my Orange Terror 500W up to full power. Admittedly, I have a very efficient speaker cab, but unless you have a very inefficient cab, 500W will always give you enough stage volume, and if it's not loud enough to fill the whole venue, why aren't you going through the PA? - Today

Hi everyone, I’m looking at upgrading the power section of my setup and considering a <Removed: Link to an industrial power supply manufacturer>. For those who have experience with similar wattage units: Is 550W enough headroom for rehearsals and medium-sized gigs? How does it hold up with Class D amps versus traditional power amps? Any brands or modules you’d recommend (or avoid)? I’m mainly playing rock/funk with a 4-ohm cab and want reliable, clean power without pushing the module to its limits. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Think this fits what I was saying about our bubbles - I could do the 'Good Times' one as could probably millions who've heard 'Rappers' Delight' (137 million Spotify plays) but no clue about the Thin Lizzy one (106 million plays), though I know I've heard it - don't even remember it being bass-led! Edit to add I haven't a clue about Brown Eyed Girl bassline despite knowing the song! Is that iconic?! Isn't the Zep one guitar and bass in unison? Presumably that still counts. Meanwhile 'So What' played by Paul Chambers is probably the most iconic jazz bassline of all time (125 million plays), the whole song hinges round it and it led off the album that transformed jazz for the next 70 years... Different bubble again though! -

I`d say an iconic bass-line would mean that a song is instantly recognisable by it, from a majority. As above Another One Bites The Dust is a great example, even if people don`t know the name of the song or the artist if they recognise the song from the bass then to me it`s there. Billie Jean for me is another like this (though not sure how many people wouldn`t know it was Michael Jackson). -
Will do likewise
