  3. In that case, try : 'You're not going to refuse to do a video shoot, are you..?' ...
  4. Good luck Andy. I was once told that you should never go into a meeting without knowing exactly what you want out of it, so take the time between now and then to seriously consider what that is; know what you’re prepared to compromise on, and by how much, and perhaps more importantly know where your line in the sand is and stick to it.
  5. Hey, Just recently i got the preamp too and somehow directly stumbled into a problem i don't know how to solve. I got a board with a patchbay, a Rockboard in my case and i would really like to patch die Inputs A and B to the patchbays Inputs. However if you plug in a cable into the preamp it activates the channel, even without an Instrument at the end. That causes a buzzing noise on the empty but now activated channel. I've red i could plug something like a dummy plug into the bay with an resistor, to kinda simulate an plugged in an instrument, so the buzzing stops. At least as long you don't wanna plug something in later. If i do so that also means that i couldn't switch the EQ on one input if i only wanna use one because Input B would be activated too because of the dummy plug. So thats why i wanted to ask if someone faced a similar problem and maybe solved it or got enough knowhow on electrics to tell a solutions. Best Regards! P.S. The idea of the board btw. was, that i can use two basses on the gig, both plugged in on their own channel, so i never have to unplug something, but at home or in rehearsal situations i could use only one cable and just switch between the A/B Setting depending on which bass i got plugged on that one cable.
  6. Thanks Al, much appreciated! I haven't listened to any others yet, but looking forward to it!
  7. Nice one Centurion!
  8. I think they like telling me " No ". Daryl
  9. Take a good look at the Fender headstock (and I own one) That massive swelling that we've all become accustomed to serves what purpose exactly? It's far from a work of art to my eyes but hey 😂 It almost looks comical when I glance over at one of my Warwicks.

  11. The story is now going round that Thames Valley Air Ambulance battled to save him.
  12. Here we have an early CS Jass that I acquired a few years ago It was refinished in a deep pink colour, I took off the neck and could see that it was originally a Daphne blue colour I had my Luthier strip it right back and professionally finished in the original colour that it left the factory, finish is spot on Luckily the neck stamp and pocked stamp were intact and you can still see some of the original colour in the pocket A lovely Binding has been applied to the outer edges of the neck, nice dark board Gold tuners, knobs, control plate and screws are original to the bass, new gold bridge installed Scratchplate is from WD music The pickups that came with it were not that great and not original to the bass so I have installed Fender customshop vintage 60's ones The gold bridge cover came with the bass so I dont know if the original one got replaced at some stage I can just about make out the date as June 1988 or 89 A battery compartment had been added at the back and a toggle switch to the control plate as an active circuit was installed but the original circuit reinstated No case came with it but I will add a Fender moulded case to keep it safe for travel Weight is 4.4 Kg's A black strap and matching gold strap locks as pictured are also included Relisted as I needed to get the frets dressed and levelled which I had forgotten to check but its all taken care of now by my Luthier Price to include delivery to UK addresses any question please fire away and open to reasonable offers

  14. Thanks man, much appreciated. I rather foolishly sold that bass, which I very much regret!
  15. The bass sounds like a jaws harp!
  16. Assembled the bias board and wired the PT to the mains via the fuse and switch.
  17. Better be quick with the S2 - the prices are heading into the stratosphere at the moment... If you miss it, my mate in Manchester has one for sale, I think.
  18. Because they all look really ugly? 😁
  19. Great set up. Ran exactly the same rig for a few years pre covid. GLWTS
  20. A fantastic compressor with plenty of tonal variety using 3 styles of compression with their own respective ratios. The SSL Bus compressor, FET 1176 and Darkglass's own Super Symmetry. There is also a lot of great tweaking that can be done via computer with the timings of attack, release and even a HPF. In fantastic condition, including box, manuals, rubber feet etc. Specifications: Hybrid Analog/Digital Compression Pure Analog signal path Blend control 3 built in yet distinct modes of advanced modelled compression Connect to your PC/Mac via Micro-USB (B) Free ‘Darkglass Suite’ software (provides additional fine control and compression models) 10-LED gain reduction meter Touch-Through metal sensors Internal doubling of supply voltage to 18V (allows for extra headroom) I/O: 6.5mm / ¼” Jack Input impedance: 1M Ohm Output impedance: 1k Ohm (9V DC, centre -, 2.1mm, ~250mA current draw)
  21. I had to figure out the bassline by ear, as all bass tabs I could find are 200% wrong.
  22. Whats ya ear pleasure? Maybe a Secondhand Ibby SR300 (Super Skinny Necks) or do you want the conventional P (or J?) , Squier of Harley B...
  23. Great story from Nick Beggs (in the latest edition of Popbitch): "I was performing at a rock/pop festival in Europe in the 80s and staying at a hotel with all the other luminaries of the day. I recall seeing Ozzy Osbourne and Bruce Dickinson talking in the hotel bar that evening. Becoming overwhelmed by my fan-like mentality I helplessly ran up to Ozzy and spouted, "Oh my God! Ozzy Osbourne! I can't believe it, you were my biggest influence!" "To which he replied. 'F*** off! I'm not taking the blame for that crap." There's another great story going about featuring Ozzy, Slash, Cliff Richard and the late Queen of England (that I won't repeat here) 🙂
  24. I must admit, I did wonder about that. However, Jake E Lee put up a screen shot of a text he received from Ozzy a couple of days before he died, thanking him for doing the Back to the Beginning gig and suggesting that they meet up in a few weeks time when he went back to LA. So, perhaps it was more unexpected than you might think.
  25. Not usually in favour of the far right but... i can make an exception.
  26. Sometimes, these parcels show up, it happened to me a (very) few times, so 🤞🏻 !
