  1. Past hour
  2. I was without my phone for a few days and got back to my emails and saw their mailing list one and thought you would be very very happy !
  3. Price drop to £325…..can’t go any lower, I’ll keep it as a spare! 😄
  4. Don’t forget, kids, if you’re so inclined you can recase this in a Future Compact case 😁👍🏻👍🏻 bargain for the buyer! I still have mine so I’m good…
  5. @GrandafatherGroove, this could be what you’ve been looking for.
  6. I don't know whether they're still available, but I got replacement plastic sleeves/handles for a couple of my EV n/dyms a few years back.
  7. Jack Bruce was one of those players that sounded like himself regardless of what bass he played. I don't think the difference between a Spector and Warwick would be that apparent. He just dug into those strings and did his thing.
  8. I’ve always thought “millionaire playboy aristocrat” would be a good swap
  9. Using jacks for cabinets is a terrible idea, as this photo clearly shows:
  10. Price drop to £40 - I’ve now sourced some direct replacements for the bass I was working on, so I no longer need these.
  11. Would this method work for pickguards too ?
  12. These are the Speakon connectors soldered up and ready to go. I have to confess I brought them with the PCB but I did make a rubber gasket for each of the Speakon adaptors and soldered it all up. I'll use foam strip around the edges once I've made a hole in the back of the speakers to fit this. I may get the chance tomorrow but the nights are drawing in and it's circa 1C at the moment and I hate working outside in the freezing cold. Rob
  13. You know all the notes on the fingerboard? You're ahead of me then 😂
  14. Here's one of my current builds...... The body is made from an old hardwood door and old floorboards with another mystery veneer on top...... I'm going to handmake the bridge on this one out of polished aluminium..........👍🏻🤟🏻
  15. Today
  16. In that case, it’s a bloody lovely bass and you should buy it immediately. Seriously, mine’s really good!
  17. Now fixed! Also further improve'lences: (1) Changed the tone cap in my D-Roc from 47nF to 100nF for more range on the tone pot. (2) Added a passive tone control to my NG2. At first I tried a dual concentric volume and tone but it never looked right (wrong finish for a start) and was fiddly. Then I fitted a push-push pot to engage a dark tone by shunting the output to ground via a 47nF cap. This meant leaving the knob sitting well clear of the body or else it wouldn't work. I didn't care for that, so I fitted a push-pull pot instead - the knobs are plenty grippy! Here it is with the passive treble cut engaged:

  19. These are ideal strings for a short scale danelectro — I put a set on my blueburst longhorn well over ten years ago and they still sound full and punchy.
  20. Great set up. Ran exactly the same rig for a few years pre covid. GLWTS
  21. Big bottom? Talk about bun cakes my girl’s got em! sorry…. Couldn’t resist…
  22. In this exact same position, feeling like do I pull the trigger on one of the online courses to get me going. Bassbuzz or SBL were my main ones but il check out that talking bass as mentioned above
  23. It's a different bass, different pickups, different preamp, even if the basis is a TRB-6P, and it's called a TRB-S. The TRB-S was quite close, but not exactly the same bass. The TRB-SII was a bolt-on iteration and the only one available in white.
  24. The original g3 I played was sooo nice. Weird as it was smooth and powerful but had a presence to it that I’d not heard before.
  25. Not everyone has a glass back - with a 10lb bass I only get a little tired after about 2hrs with it on me standing up. This will be fine. 😊
  26. that’s how I set my capo up with the GT1000core, very fun setup!
