Copy/paste from t'other Rush thread as I didn't notice this one! Well - I suppose that's exactly what I hoped they wouldn't do. I always hoped that if Lee & Lifeson did get together again, it'd be for new music, collaborating with other musicians, and not under the Rush name. They'd previously seemed resistant to doing precisely what it looks like they are doing - maybe there's only so long it's possible to hold out against bigger & bigger dollar-carrots being waved at you, I dunno. I'm glad they're using a relatively unknown drummer, rather than one of the 'usual suspects' list of prog drummers that get waved around as potential Peart substitutes. I hope they learn to pronounce her name, though.

I've had both but as the DB is substantially larger, I sold it. I can manage most gigs with a Clevinger 5 and an old GK 200MB. The bass became much better with a good setup and strings.

Yeah, I read that somewhere too. It wasn’t just the pickup that was on the squint, the entire chrome assembly was pissed. Didn’t notwithstanding immediately, but once I was aware of it, I couldn’t unsee it.

I'd go with the EHX Hotwax for this. 2 distinct drives which are stackable and a universal blend control - fantastic pedal and really well priced.

John Hall once stated that a crooked bridge pickup didn't matter, it was only an aesthetic issue and wasn't seen under the cover. If players chose to remove the cover and exposed the crooked pickup that was their choice. He then went on to rip off Tubeampology's bezel design and release a product designed solely to be used when the pickup cover is removed.

I don't even like Rush's music much, but I do like those two!

I saw a poster at a gig for a chap going under the name Rodge Adultery.

My 4003s had a wonky bridge pickup (both pickup and surround) and the nut was like it had been finished by a blind man. QC very much not the watchword at Hall Towers.

Myself and guitarist/ teacher were gonna form a band , the hamsters of death . We would have been Ray Bid and Bloa Ted . Life got in the way unfortunately. Stage names I have considered in the past ; Philip Eno , Wayne Kossoff ( free tribute band?) and Phyllis Glass . They didn’t materialise either 🙂
