Split the keyboard, with the bottom half panned hard left, the upper hard right (well, maybe not as hard as that, but more than 50% at least...). Pan the bass to the middle, obviously. Ideally, of course, this 'sharing' of the frequencies should be done when the song is composed and arranged, so as to have a better sonic field for each instrument, although there's no absolute rules for this, either. Some overlap can be musically valid, it depends on the song. Kudos for the drumming in the video; more interesting than many 'young' bands these daze. All in all, Good Stuff, worth getting right 'live'. Hope this helps.

I bought a strap from Rob and he was great at answering my queries and immediately shipped the item. I was also the lucky recipient of an unwanted USB power supply in return for a donation to the North West Air Ambulance service. Thanks again Rob! Pleasure doing business with you.

Here's the story... I was moving house a number of years ago and didn't have a proper case for a much treasured (and fragile!) 1960's Hofner Senator Bass. At the time I couldn't get hold of a suitable off-the-shelf case, and so I had a custom flight case built for it. And it has literally been used once - for a single house move. But I've never used the bass live or even taken out of the house since then. So this flight case has set in my spare room, kept just in case I needed to transport the Hofner Senator Bass again. Then very recently....I discovered that Hofner now make a suitable hard case (for the Hofner President re-issue)...and so I've got one of those to replace the flight case, and this flight case is now definitely surplus to requirements. From memory, I think it cost me not far off £200 to get made, but I just need the space it's taking up, so I'm happy to take £50.00 for it. As you'll see from the photos it's basically in 'as-new' condition, Hexaboard with proper professional grade fittings throughout. Dimensions: External Dimensions: 122cm x 47cm x 21.5cm Internal Dimensions: 115.5cm x 41cm x 15cm So...this could be a very handy case for all sorts of things! I can ship it - but that would probably be quite pricey. Collection would be better I would think. Thanks!

Yeah the case is a definite doozy. its seems customised completely for this rig.... everything fits perfectly and it looks as though it was made for it. Truly an enigma. Wrapped in a conundrum. Ive been enjoying it immensely this afternoon...glorious. I would venture it sounds better than my SMX 300 era head and certainly is up with my Series 6 AH500X. I'm gonna continue my search for info and thank you for your help so far

The "lost" bass that finally showed up two days ago is out on tour with Tom Petersson now. It got its maiden flight in Atlanta yesterday. And I see Tom decided to mount the pearloid pickguard that I put in the case with the bass.

Agreed, try to stop them playing anything below middle C.

Or super glue his left hand to the floor. Its an age old battle which only the most mature, musically knowledgeable keyboard players will let you win. Good luck.

An little bit extra to shield as well.

If the keyboard player cant maintain discipline and stay out of the bass players way then nail a plank across the two lowest octaves of the keyboard

We're in need of some advice. My daughter is in a band where she plays bass and they also have keys, guitar, vocals and drums. The recordings work really well and everything comes through nicely but live, the bass quite often gets lost and im wondering whether sound techs are struggling to differentiate between the low end of the keys and the bass. Are there any tips to make them work together live reliably and make it easy for the sound tech? Here's an example of one of their songs for reference.

It's a quirky geometry, for sure. Wearing it much lower on the strap helps some. I struggle with how people manage the Euro X shape or Explorer/Flying-vee shapes.

I am the happy new owner of Ordep's Mooer Envelope pedal, and a lovely little thing it is too! It arrived very well packaged and in top condition. Thanks Ordep!

Mini toggle switch installed... Had to remove a little material from the control cavity to get enough threads to poke through the top, because life is never easy. Next job is to enlarge the hole left by the jack socket from 9mm to whatever the pickup selector needs, probably 12mm or something.

Ok, just stuck stainless steel Dragon Skins on my dual Precision pickup bass. 45-100. They are very sticky to start off with - as @Jamieboy said. They sound like Hi Beams to me (Fat Beams have a little bit more in the mids). They feel looser tension than Elixirs. As Jamie said, they are not as smooth as Elixirs. I’m not sure I feel a mega difference between these and other DR strings. I’ll play with these for a while and report back.
