Cato Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago (edited) Exclusive at Andertons No idea how limited 'limited' is. There's also a few guitars in the same finish, it looks like the Jazz is the only bass offering. https://www.andertons.co.uk/fender-player-ii-jazz-bass-guitar-lavender-haze/ Edited 16 hours ago by Cato 4 1 Quote
Reggaebass Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Pretty funky, but not a colour I think I’d keep 1 Quote
MartinB Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago It's a bit flat... a pearl finish would have been snazzier. Ultimately it's always going to be second-best to burgundy mist metallic though 🤩 Quote Hybrid magnet design: These pickups utilise Alnico 5 magnets on the E and A strings for tight low-end punch, and Alnico 2 on the D and G strings for a warm, fat growl. Didn't they try mixed-magnet pickups a few years back? And people said that they sounded much better if you took them out and rotated them 180 degrees 😆 2 Quote

But even in the best light you're dead right about it being a poor cousin to Burgundy Mist. Edited 18 hours ago by Cato Quote
simisker Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Well, I think it's a great colour - particularly with the matching headstock - and I look forward to being able to snap one up for a song later on in the year 😛 It looks better in the video than it does in the Andertons product photos. I think it could look rather saucy with the pickguard and hardware changed to black. Quote
jonno1981 Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Without sounding like a twit, I’d find it really hard to dress with a bass of that colour. Not a fan. Stack knobs are cool though. Quote
simisker Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Just wear a tort suit*. Tort goes with every bass colour. TalkBass told me so it must be true. * bonus joke for the lawyers! 1 1 Quote

AndyTravis Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago I prefer the peach one they did a couple of years ago. 1 Quote
basshead56 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago The pacific peach with a different paint scheme. I like the look though. I'd add a black pickguard, thumb rest and an ashtray bridge cover. If it's even remotely similar my 60th Ann. RW Jazz, it will play and sound beautifully (and I imagine it's the same for the most part - bar finishing) Pretty cool. Quote
Geek99 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Good price for a fender. Not wild about the colour 1 Quote
Jean-Luc Pickguard Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago It would be better if it was in a metallic version of lavender mist, and a mustang bass. 1 Quote
