Cheap Hi Beams.

Recommended Posts

Hope everyone can see these and they're not just on offer to me

https://www.amazon.co.uk/DR-Beam-Medium-Guitar-Strings/dp/B0009FJ1NS

Even with postage they're at least a tenner cheaper than average.

I'm a sunbeams player (which unfortunately aren't available for such a low price) but when I've needed steels the Hi-Beams are the best I've ever had on a bass.

Never used them before but just ordered these to give them a go, thanks for the heads up.

Same here, I'm usually a nickel type but got to be worth a go at that price :)

Theres Lo Riders on Amazon for £21 too... (Plus customs deposit? I assume I'll get that back as it's below the customs threshold?)

If it turns out there's some sort of problem or mistake with these I'm going to get lynched, aren't I? Edited by Cato

Excellent. I've been wanting to try Hi-Beams and although 105 is heaver than my usual, I also need to use drop-D on a couple of songs now, so this is a cheap way of killing two birds. I'm guessing it's a pricing error though, so they may not honour it.

I've been getting my Hi Beams from here for a while and I can assure you, they are genuine. I just ordered a set. As I need them quickly I've paid for premium delivery which doubles the price! But it's still £10 cheaper than Strings Direct :)

Thanks for the heads-up. They were on my "strings to try" list, so I've ordered a set.

Import duties are so hit and miss that I really don't worry about it. The amount of stuff I've imported and not been charged will more than make up for if and when I do get a charge.

Order dispatched. I've pretty much killed yet another Ernie Ball set two in practices plus homework, so this is very timely. Given the lack of gauge choices I'm assuming that someone has a 'bin end'. Looking forward to hearing what a 30 quid set of bass strings sounds like.
