Who are you seeing live next?

No Robert Plant... put back a week and moved to another venue due to RAAC at St David's hall.

A week before the performance they suddenly realise more tickets than seats. Cancel all tickets (to be refunded in 15 days) and limit people to rebooking no more than two tickets.

We were two in a party of four booked by someone else.

In the end none of us could be bothered to try and get tickets.

So the next band is now the Fortunate Sons featuring @Gottastopbuyinggear of this parish.

We’re not so precious - the more people you bring the better 😊

Looking forward to it, as always.  We may even have a couple of new songs since you last saw us - whether we can remember the endings or not is a different matter!

Not often I post here, but going through an embarrassment of riches this month bass-wise:

last week at the Pizza Express Jazz: Janek Gwizdala

tonight at the Barbican: Hiromi with Hadrien Feraud in the band

the weekend: Michael League and Bill Laurance at the QEH (also got Goose the same night, suspect quite handy but unknown-to-me bassist)

later in the month: Stick Men/Tu-Ner in Prague with Tony Levin, Markus Reuter and Trey Gunn

The above was as amazing as expected, and also featured the David Cross Band doing all of Larks Tongues in Aspic, which was quite special.

The encore was everyone on stage for Starless and 21st Century Schizoid Man 🤩

Tomorrow: further excitement with Extreme and Living Colour

Months away, but yesterday I bought tickets for Discharge.

Never thought I'd see them live. Should be a good night out with old mates and hopefully lots of good people.
