  1. I’m using an LM3 and love it! Up till now with a 4 ohm 2x10 traveller cab but just acquired a 4x10 standard cab from a basschatter which moves significantly more air! I’m just down the road from you if you wanted to try it. Second hand they’re around £350 I think.
  2. Boss Waza air for bass. Simples!
  3. Hmmm. Could this be the 5 string that I actually get on with? Do I really need another bass? Why is it so damned pretty? Why did I sell my Corvette $$ for peanuts? Why do I think I need a five string when I keep buying them and selling on after realising I don't get on with them? So many questions but few answers. Absolutely stunning Bass Heathy!
  4. The last band I was in broke up finally and very acrimoniously (drummer in the red corner and singer in the blue) at the start of my wedding anniversary party and refused to play. Thanks!
  5. Shame that this is sitting gathering dust. It's a great bass, with the piezo providing interesting tonal options, but just not for me ergonomically. They're hard to get hold of in the UK - I think the only stockist is the bass centre and they're currently over £900. This one is pretty mint so I'm reluctant to drop the price but feel free to send an offer - you might catch me in a good mood! If anyone fancies trying something different and has a trade in mind then feel free to message. I'm not precious about a straight swap a little bit of cash either way. As well as basses, interested in light 4 x 10 cabs.
  6. Been using them since I got an Acg from Frank Blank of this parish that had them fitted. Amazing strings and they do send offers from time to time.
  7. Thanks to a connection with a very old friend of his I met him briefly on Saturday. What a nice, down to earth bloke. A real gent. Me in my wishful thinking pose!
  8. Something weird happened with the pics. Should be back now. open to reasonable offers and trades
  9. You’re welcome to borrow the ns radius wav 4 that I’m advertising in the for sale section. It’s just sitting there at the mo I’m on the edge of North Essex.
  10. Bit leery and dear for an s3000! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/364589871202?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=zj_pbkgkrvy&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=YkRg0-LaRHe&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  11. Ocean colour scene next week in Norwich
  12. Now £500 in a crazy, Post Black Friday Sale! Or let me know what you got to trade!
  13. For the heavy basses this: KLIQ Music Gear AirCell Guitar Strap for Bass & Electric Guitar with 3" Wide Neoprene Pad and Adjustable Length. Super comfortable. https://www.kliqmusicgear.com/collections/guitar-straps/products/aircell-guitar-strap-for-bass-electric-guitar-adjustable-black-short
  14. I’ve been wearing lenses most of the time for about 30 years. Now in my 50s have moved to mono vision which is where I have one weaker for reading like @doomed says above. So have always worn them for gigs with no problems.
  15. Papa was a rolling stone. There’s a clip of Marcus Miller doing a cover. He plays the first two notes and the audience knows what it is!
  16. Pray by Take That “all I do is shine his face” instead of all I do each night is pray
  17. Bono’s lament - I still haven’t found what I’m fooking for
  18. Thanks both! Sounds like a potential dodging of a bullet. Truth is I probably need to just play around myself starting with the Dr Tone Stuff. Using 3 or 4 different basses doesn't help either!
  19. Anyone invested in Ian Martin Allison's presets? Any good? I don't mind chucking a fiver or a tenner just to see what a patch is like but his are far more expensive and wondering if they're worth it. Especially the synth sounds which sound amazing on the videos that I've seen but I always suspect there's more going on than just bass>helix.
  20. Just bought some TI flats from Matt. Great comms, reasonable price and postage. Swiftly despatched. Recommend without reserve.
  21. NS Design Wav 4 radius in immaculate condition. There really isn’t a mark on it as far as I can see. I’m the second owner and have never gigged it. Only played at home (smoke and pet free). Great headless bass with a piezo bridge, very clever string clamp mechanism so you can use any strings you want and curved body to accommodate that middle aged spread Full disclosure, one of the zips on the gig bag is a bit dodgy. If you go past a certain point it will open but you can avoid it by pulling the other zip a bit further. I took this as a part ex a while ago, but with the recent acquisition of a squier P this is the one bass too many. All the wall hangers are full so this sits untidily on the floor. In terms of trades I don’t really want any more basses at the mo (really?!?) but always worth a punt if you have something interesting or a nice markbass 10x4 cab for example. collection preferred but will pack for your courier at your cost and risk.
  22. Nice one! Unusually low prices for the cash convertor type businesses. One went on eBay last night for £260. We both got a bargain!
