  2. Chalk me up another couple- another Westbury track 2 BC Rich mockingbird plus and an Aria Pro II Igb brings me to 24 i think! lol
  3. I've just acquired a TC BH250 head (Cost me a lot less than your budget) for exactly the same purpose I'm very pleased with it thus far
  4. it seems that there are two versions of that model - one with a pj config, and a soapbar type as well. Great spot dude - cheers!
  5. good luck mate. That sounds like a gorgeous looking instrument.
  6. first one is a shergold, second is the lado unicorn One that has always flummoxed me is the bass in the trooper video. I know its an ibanez, but what model?
  7. What a bloody great album. Mind you I rate most of the albums of this period as highly as this gem
  8. I need to change the tone of the bass not the amp 😉
  9. Hi. Last week I scored a nice, fairly recent AP2 PJ IGB passive bass for a silly price via the dreaded ebay. However, I'm left wondering if I can 'tame' the mids a little. Would a pup ugrade be the better solution, or am i left having to use an eq pedal? Would you suggest? Cheers
  10. Be aware that the earlier sh model p ( blue sparkle/ jap made) does not have the spb4 Harris sig pup. I love my blue Harris, but mainly because I don't want the logo on it. I wouldn't go so far as to say I detest football, but you get the point! Lol the neck is big in the hand, but feels supremely comfortable. If having a good palmful of wood matron, then go for the Harris
  11. Ive spent years 'accumulating' active basses. Over the years, these are the instruments that get the least use. I find most often, as with the op, that they get quickly lost in the mix. So much so, that the only time I use one particular active instrument is to play unplugged. I will only use passive instruments now as they sit beautifully in a live mix and have all the right heft in all the right places.
  12. Really easy dealings with Paul. He dealt with my payment foibles with great aplomb cheers!
  13. Hello mate. Is this an active model?
  14. Is there not an emulation on the ehx 9 series pedals?
  15. PM incoming
  16. Whereabouts are you based ?
  17. Sharay is always inspirational. A real beast of a player
  18. The initial ep from a few years back was pretty good. im looking forward to hearing a complete album. last time I saw frank, he was particularly chuffed that I asked how the album was progressing.
  19. I've been using the Boss fv500h for many years as both a volume and an expression pedal with both active and passive instruments. Solid as you like, and the feel is adjustable I've also had no issues with reliability or tone suck at all
  20. Just wanted to add that my bc rich ironbird fits into these cases. Glwts
  21. Mxr micro boost mooer pure boost both true clean boosts. Ive also used the lpb1 which adds something in the low mids. Not that it's a problem, but to my mind it makes it not a clean boost imo
  22. 22 4 bc rich 4 fender 4 dean 1 vox 2 westbury 1 peavey 5 1 ibanez btb5 1 tiny levin sig olp 1 fretless 1 machine gun 1 Kramer 1 dean upright fretless.
