  1. Can I clarify that this has nowt to do with me
  2. I have an mxr black label chorus on my board. It's a reworking of the older analog boss ce5, and exactly the same pedal as the mxr analog chorus
  3. I think, broadly speaking, that price is largely irrelevant. If a pedal produces the sound I'm looking for, that is the end of the search for me. Heaven knows I've spend a vast amount of money chasing my drive tones, trying boutique this and boutique that, only to find the sounds that I was searching for ( and sat well in the mix!) via ehx and mxr ( bass soul food, glove, and bass fuzz deluxe. ) for my main band, and bass soul food and bass tube screamer/ cm2 for the others. I still have my darkglass pedals here, but ATM I'm not using them. Shame really, as they are superb pedals, but just didn't give me the exact sound I was after.
  4. The ehx definitely sounds way better than the jhs to my ears. The jhs has a definite fuzz flavour, where the ehx has more of an old school drive vibe going on.
  5. Rotosounds are made in Kent. There will be loads of dealers able to send within the UK.
  6. Maybe we should plug the guitars in and play them?
  7. 20+. I play regularly in several bands along with deps and two sometime/ad hoc bands. They all get used at some point or other
  8. I use standard roto swing bass on my reverse stocked warlock. I've never had a problem using standard length strings on reverse heads. My Kramer also has a reverse, and. I use the red Warwick strings, or roto bass
  9. Bass soul food. Amazing pedal. Superb value for money. I wouldn't do without it now. Fits in every situation I've used it
  10. Bass soul food all the way. Should totally do what you're looking for.
  11. Yes
  12. I used to be borderline obsessed with bad news. Well written, and really funny. The thing to remember is that bad news came before spinal tap (another fundamentally superb observational piece!) Bottom, for me, is the quintessential physical comedy show, and is the logical conclusion of the ideas put in motion in the young ones. I love Rik and Ade's comedy, so regularly enjoy these and more
  13. As a self employed musician/ teacher I have a business name, so I had no problems ordering from rs. I also have a Cpc account too. I've had it around 6 years
  14. God is dead
  15. The switch I bought from rs is exactly the same as the one I removed from the amp. Same part number
  16. Death metal- death, morbid angel, carcass etc.
  17. Thrash- to me, it had an urgency and musicality that glam never had IMO
  18. With this hunk o junk, you could play the kessel run in record time
  19. I'm using a mooer micro di at the mo to get the keys sound from my board to the pa. small and perfectly formed! it sounds good and has all the features you would expect from a di. Also has a handy speaker emulation which works really well. That can be found on eBay from around £45. It's also available with a fender logo for a little less
  20. I saw Neil Murray gigging with Bernie marsden in the summer. He's still got it! One of my first truly inspirational players along with Steve Harris. Whilst we're talking about whitesnake, I didn't see if anyone had mentioned Colin hodgkinson. What a player!! Between whitesnake and back door there's a good bit of material out there. I'm encouraged to see mention of stu morrow. I spent a lot of time chatting with him when he was playing with slammer. Top dude, and really encouraging. Jim smith from cardiacs also gets a vote from me. The lines he plays fit beautifully into the eclectic arrangements of the bands music. I'm wondering whether Tim actually wrote the parts though. Either way the lines, and the tone from that Ricky really work well in the context
  21. I ran the worship team in my church for 15 years. God called me out of the team about 3 years ago. The biggest thing I taught the team was about being yourself and not trying to reproduce slavishly what someone else has created. God made us who we are, and our purest worship comes from our connection with Him informing and leading us in bringing the congregation into the throne room. The 'top ten' above is a great manifesto
  22. Presumably good for the (Han) solo
  23. I'd have to move abroad though
