  1. Well done bluejay- great coverage as ever!
  2. Not had that experience with mxr products- I have a significant number of both their bass and guitar pedals
  3. Congratulations on a great score! Very jealous ! 😉
  4. Like much of the previous album
  5. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the mooer has a switch which selects either modern/vintage (?) Does that then make it a clone of the evh?
  6. I wasn't planning on being there this year, but a friend sorted a guest space for me. The main problem this year for me ws the sheer volume. It was offensive in the extreme. There was supposed to be a 50 minute noisy period, and 45 minute quiet spell. No one except those using headphone rigs took any notice whatsoever. I did get to spend some time with some interesting gear though- mainly pedals ( and through headphones!) The new boss bass driver has some potential, and I don't feel the vids from namm do it justice. The hookers green bass machine sounded great too! I shall be returning to the shop to try these two and some others too, in a more 'friendly' environment. I got to meet stu Hamm and Doug wimbish too
  7. I've played it clean or with a bass fuzz deluxe
  8. I had a hustle drive for a while (the ocd clone). It sounded ok, but lost some low end, which made it a candidate for the the chopping block for me. Ymmv

  10. Highly underrated basses IMO. I have loved both track 2s that I've owned over years
  11. Mooer di is great for the size Has a potentially useful speaker sim too
  12. Love my slow engine. Never fails to put a smile on my face when I use it. I also have the micro di. Not really a pedal, but great nonetheless. The chorus is pretty good, and I also have the blues mood. Not a bad low gainer, but it works best on its own, and does tend to lose a little low end
  13. Sims advertise that they can add LEDs without removing the fretboard
  14. Stickman and gunsFreddy- it certainly looks like you're right. Defo part of the reason I won't be going this year.
  15. My main contention with the last episode was that the chap said that chic's good times, and queens another one bites the dust were the same bass line. For someone that has a good an ear as his- he must be deaf!!!!
  16. I have the bass eq and fog fuzz. Loving the eq- the frequency centres are really good. Volume control is transparent and lights when engaged. I always thought that was a cool feature 😉 The fog is good, and does the 'time is running out' sound pretty well. I tried the thunderball and really wanted to like it, but it did nothing for me. It's allegedly a clone of the ehx bass blogger.
  17. Another shout for the mark bass octave. As close to an oc2 as is poss apparently
  18. Some talk about it here. A couple of videos too 😉 http://basschat.co.uk/topic/252374-for-the-cliff-em-all-ers-here/page__pid__2662583#entry2662583
  19. Love my track 2. I'm also gassing after the dual p goodness of the 4
  20. Another mention for the cm2. Great pedal, with a solid eq. It sounds like the vintage microtubes might work for you too. The ebs multi drive is worth a try as well.
  21. Steve's number one has a maple body according to mike kenney
  22. I assume the issues mentioned in the email refer to the west ham logo, since they already have all the other parts included on the other sig models already released. That being so, I would assume it's sealed onto the bass
  23. Lights is one of my all time favourite albums- just amazing! All the infectious stuff is great too. Might also be worth having a listen to the remastered ozzy albums where he controversially replaced bob daisley's parts. Not that I condone that despicable act by Sharon and co., but it's always good to hear a player doing something a little different
  24. Presumably their (late) response to the vtdi etc. price point is the key thing as already mentioned
