1. My old dod fx25 can do a great dub by/ reggae tone. Set the sensitivity to max, and the filter won't open.
2. Definitely the epi. I paused and looked I'm not a trainspotter, honest!!
3. I use a boss fv500h from time to time. Great feel, very similar to the eb. A lot cheaper too
4. It's called the idea band
5. I'm always on the rob when it comes to other players.. I watch intently trying to spot 'that cool thing' they do, and observe how they do it. I will then try to replicate it in my practice time. Once I have it under my fingers, I'll try it in a band situation ( as long as it's appropriate!) and if it adds to the vibe, it stays. If it doesn't, it gets saved for personal playing time.
6. Just Classic hillsong etc. it was the smaller of the two
7. My original board I reposted a few back was my church board
8. I played one a while back. It simply is one of the best p basses I have ever played. The sig/ livery bears no relation to the playability, but I simply won't endorse any kind of football club The sparkly blue model they're entry did had the same level of playability, and no extraneous logo. All I need to do now is find the cash!!!
9. Here ya go simonedward-
10. Sorely tempted with the nm2 :-/
11. I've been using an ibanez weeping demon for about 10 years or so. It's a wah which has settings for both bass and guitar, but I find I'm using the guitar setting as it really gives me the 'scream' I'm looking for.
12. Studiospares are doing a sennheiser channel 70 set for £125 at the mo. Reduced from £175 apparently
13. Blimey! My boards changed a fair bit since then!!!
14. Cheers Chris. I shall investigate further
15. I might be interested dependant on location
16. IMO they sound great. I use both regularly However I do run a slightly different signal chain to the norm. I run the organ outs to and ab box and through a kill switch to di and pa. in this pic you see it, but now I have changed ab to one of the fender branded mooers, and I've built my own mooer sized latching killswitch rather than using the boss ab with an empty channel. Also, the Dod bass overdrive has been replaced with an ehx bass soul food.
17. As an owner and bass based user of both b and c models, I think this also sounds great like the others However, I can't see myself using it in my contexts. Might be fun to try it, but I suspect it'll go no further than that for me
18. Have you used one then?
19. Works really well in all 3 of my rigs and in a di only rig too. Holds the original tone well, and adds a really nice gritty edge and more if needs be to the sound. On top of that its only a £60 pedal!!!!
20. I apply the DFA button/ knob. It's called this because it does f**k all
21. IMO it's the most consistent album since bnw
22. From what I understand, the nj series were manufactured in Nagoya Japan, rather than a reference to New Jersey. Congrats on lovely buy. Jealous!!!
23. It would be interesting to hear the Mxr m80 and m81 compared in this context
