Went to see Stevie last night at Bloom in Altrincham and had a chat about UK Bass Day. Bottom line is that he wanted a year off as he is putting an album of his "Most Wanted Band" together and needed to concentrate on that. He is looking at putting one on this year depending on who he can get to play.

Marshall appear to have plenty of Eden gear in stock so can't understand why it isn't out with dealers. I got in touch recently for some rack ears for my WT550 and they sent me some FOC. The amp has just been serviced by them and it was at this point they said they had stock.

Bloody Singers eh Pete. Some great advice from Steve, (Solo4652), another suggestion is to check out any Karaoke going on in any local pubs. 2 bands i have been involved in found vocalists this way. Most of the time you are listening to a "cat being strangled" but you can come across the odd gem.

Steve, It could be either. Unfortunately no real way of telling without delving inside. it could be a broken wire, a knackered switch or one of the coils in the pick-up gone open circuit.

I've got a Jazz with a BTC in it. Vol/Bal/stacked Bass/Treble. Had a Bat Box routed in though.

Nice review Luke. One thing I found with the ACG pre, (or an ACG bass full stop), is how much you appreciate them after playing something else. Have done a few gigs recently where I didn't want to take my ACG as the venues were a bit "lively". Last week-end we did a couple of Xmas parties and the ACG came with me. A smile on my face all night.

If there are no loose wires, i'd suspect the Jack Socket, (or a wire has come off the jack). It is the one constant to everything you have tried. They can go High Resistance over time so either a clean up with some wire-wool or something similar or pop a new one in. Make sure it is a Neutrik or Switchcraft though.

We play it and it always goes down a storm, (along with a few other Northern Soul classics). If I find a few mins i'll try and transcribe it, but there isn't that much to it.

[/quote] Currently play in a Blues Brothers/Commitments Tribute. Same musicians go out as a Soul/Tamla/Party band and tend to combine the 2 at Functions. We did the US Car Show at Tatton Park to 30,000+ people and are booked to do the Northampton one next year.

Just sold an Artec SE3a pre-amp to Cliff. Quick payer and great to deal with. no hassle and he let me know as soon as it arrived safe and sound.

That'll be the same Paul_5 who is after an Artec pre-amp i have and whose Blade B-15 I am now possession of. Small world.

Alex has just bought a C-mark Power Amp. Smooth as silk and a pleasure to deal with.
