1. Without a doubt the best Cab I have ever owned/played. The atttention to detail and build quality is Rolls Royce standard and the sound is immense. It's a 3 Way design with 2x12" Bass drivers 6.5" mid driver & HF horn, Impedance 4 Ohms, POWER HANDLING 500 Watts RMS (1000 Watts Peak). Crossover Frequencies 800Hz and 3.5 KHz. Frequency Response 35 Hz to 20 kHz.. Sensitivity 102 dB SPL Weight 57 lbs / 26 kg. Width 20.75in. / 52.7 cm. Height 24.60in. / 62.5 cm. Depth 17.12 in. / 43.5 cm Comes with a Roqsolid cover that it has lived in from new. Mint condition. More details can be found here: http://www.extendedaudiodesign.co.uk/ I may be interested in a small Lighweight Combo as part of a trade. 2. My understanding is that when you play a Pub you are covered by the Pub PLI as they are "inviting" you to play. We only paid £75 for £2M for a 6 piece band and for Weddings, Corporate events etc. it is essential, (just like PAT testing certificate).
3. I don't think they are Marshall Amps under the Eden name, more like they have finally got around to sorting the distribution chain out and Eden Amps will be appearing again. Eden gear has been in really short supply since Marshall bought the company and I was speaking to them a couple of weeks ago, when I sent my WT550 to them for a check/service before putting up For Sale. When I first contaced them, they had nothing but now apparently the have a fair amount of gear in stock ready to go.
4. Have been asked the same couple of questions by a couple of people so thought it worth adding here. Although it is an Active 2-Band pre-Amp, there is a passive option. Just pull the Vol control as you would on a Sandberg Basic. "Does it really look/feel like a Sadberg" ? YES. When I bought it I took it over to Manchester Bass Lounge for Drew to see. I covered the headstock and he was convinced it was a Sandberg Basic. As I mentioned above Sandberg supplied the hardware so it has their logo stamped on it and the pickups are Delano DeSonics.
5.
Have a bump on me for an astounding piece of kit!
Dead right and gutted that it i am having to sell it.
6.
Well what can i say apart from sorry Mike, completely missed your question, flat out at work at the moment so i get very limited time on the PC, but Im sure if you ask anyone who has bought gear from me will tell you i have impeccable manners. I can also state hand on heart that i have replied to everyone's questions (yeah ok Tonyquipment just about to PM you) At the moment amp is on hold but if that falls through i shall (in order) be in touch with the next person that got in touch with me. And Mike stop stalking me!
Super.
7. Some Cash Converters have a resident "expert" on instruments and others haven't a clue. I saw a brand new Fender USA Telecaster with case in a CC for £325. It must literally have been "removed" from a shop as it was completely unplayed. A pal of mine got a really nice old Fender P-Bass from the same branch for £200 and after a bit of clean swapped it for a brand new Stingray 5 in a Manchester Music shop.
8. I don't do 4 Strings but that is just too much of a bargain. I can't believe that anyone with a bass of this calibre doesn't know the true value. In my area as well.
9.
PM sent 3 days ago, no response. Is this sold ?
Pretty sure it is. There was a deal brewing when i got in touch.
10. Hi, I recently bought a Blade B-15 bass from Mattbass6 who was an absolute dream to deal with by the way. When he bought it the electrics had been changed to standard Jazz V/V/T and the "mid" boost removed. I understand that it had an East J-Retro in it at some time and even though it was awesome in passive mode, I decided to put an East back into it. This has transformed it and is better than any Jazz type I have ever played. The pick-ups are absolutely fantastic and have that typical Jazz "growl" It is in good condition but does have a few minor dinks here and there but nothing major. It has recently been to a bass tech who cleaned it from top to bottom, straightened the neck, lowered the action and put a fresh set of strings on it. It plays like a dream. The price is £475 or I may be persuaded to remove the East and adjust the valuation. Thanks for looking. 11. [s]Can't change the "The Price or Trade Value field" now £350[/s] Mint condition Cort Arona 5. The Arona series was developed in conjunction with Sandberg Instruments and a similar situation to Lakland Skyline and G&L Tributes, both of which are made by Cort. Sandberg’s influence is immediately apparent in the shape and style of the body itself. This is a Sandberg Basic shape and sports a Brownburst "Open Pore" finish. Alll the hardware is Sandberg supplied and badged and pickups are Delano Desonic. A MM type at the bridge end and a single coil at the neck end. The pre-amp is a 2-Band Sandberg design. I have owned a Sandberg Basic and can assure you that this feels and plays just like it. The neck profile has that Sandberg feel and when strapped on it feels like the real deal. The equivalent Sandberg would cost in excess of £1000 and these are selling for £504 at Thomann, (the only place I could find one). What's not to like????
12. On Hold. New Price £450. Can't edit the value field. Eden WT550 Bass Amp. The WT550 Traveler, is a hybrid tube design rated at 750 watts at 2Ω with a minimum of 3dB of headroom. Standard features include: low noise compact design, -12dB input pad, switchable automatic compression, five-way semi-parametric tone control, mono pre and stereo post tone control effects loops, stereo aux inputs, DI out with ground lift, headphone out, tuner out, and a thermostatically controlled fan. Just returned from Marshall after a service. This is one of the US built ones NOT China. This is the absolute "Dogs Danglies" of Bass Amps, (IMHO), and the best Amp I have ever had, (and I have tried the lot), probably explains why most touring musicians use them. Literally just 2 years old as is dated 4th April 2011. Could be argued it is still under guarentee. Not easy to get hold of since Marshall took over Eden and the supply has pretty much dried up until they sort the distribution network out. Has been housed in a Warwick Rockcase from new, (available at extra cost if required), but will include the Rack Ears. Could be tempted into a deal involving a small lightweight Combo or maybe a small lightweight head. 13. Bought a double Battery Box off Kim. Really well packed and got here quicker than anything posted in UK would have.... Nice deal Kim, thanks a lot.
14.
Oh, how much was it?
I think it was around £1.
15. I saw them on the "Best Disco in Town" tour a few years back. Omar Hakim on Drums and Jerry Barnes on Bass. Absolutely awesome. Picked a DVD of the tour in Poundland recently. Bargain.
16. We've had a couple of KAM ParBars for about 3 years. Great lights. Easy set-up and bright enough for most needs. There are many "clones" as well but I must say the KAM's have stood up well over the years.
17. Top man. Collected and Amp for me whilst in Lancaster. What a star.
18. Jeez that was bloody cheap.
19. I'll leave it with you then Ash, unless you want your Bass Collection back
20.
It was on mine the moment I saw it! Very tempted.
Make that 3 BC'ers
21.
Added to my watch list - obviously it will sell for much, much more..
Are you going for this as i am interested and live in Manchester. Pointless having a bidding war between 2 BC'ers.
22.
Also it's worth bearing in mind that in reality for most function work you really only need enough PA to cover the dance floor area.
Oh how true Jay. Only need to convince our singist of that fact.
23. We are also hunting around for a new PA and it is a nightmare deciding. Really fancy an HK Elements system as the idea of a modular system that breaks down so small and light is very attractive. QSC K12/K Sub is also in the equation and then along comes the HK Audio Linear 5. Arghhhhhhhhhh decisions decisions.
24. Give these guys a call. They will give you an idea of cost. always found them pretty reasonable. http://www.wembleyloudspeaker.com/page-products-repair.shtml
