You won't get more "bang for your buck" than the deal Bass Direct have on the Genz Benz Contour combo's. £349 for thew 1x15 and £399 for the 2x10. 300w lightweight combo. add an extention and get a full 500W and a guarentee. Mark will explain why they are so cheap.
Thanks for the advice gents, will take it on board. I was wondering if it's worth getting some advertising done on local/regional wedding websites that signpost brides and grooms to wedding services. Has anyone done that? It sounds like it might be expensive, but I haven't researched it yet....
Done a few Wedding Fayres and generally they don't pay for them selves, except the ones that give you the attendee list afterwards. When you attend a Wedding Fare you generally sign in with name and contact details. if you can get hold of this, it can be very rewarding contacting people after the event. The only other "bonus" is that there will probably be a couple of Agents there and you may get work from them. Making sure your website highlights that you play weddings is essential with all the right meta-tags. Remember your audience is likely to be from kids to grandparents so a varied set-list is important as usually the B&G want you to play what they want and don't consider the rest of guests. Dood summed up all the essential bits in his reply.
Shocked this is still here good price too
It's really funny. Been very quiet and then as soon as I think about maybe keeping it, (it really is a stunner), I have had quite a bit of interest.
PM'd Pestie
And replied. Just found out the colour is Agave Blue
On a personal note, weddings are some of the worst gigs I've ever played.
That is because most people at a Wedding are there because they feel obliged to accept the invite, not because they "want" to be there. You are seriously undercharging yourselves though. either one of our bands is £1000 and upwards.

Welcome Yolanda. Must get my version of Funk in the 3rd Quarter signed some time. One of my favourite Albums.

Reduced to £375 including shipping. MIM Jazz built in 2002/3, I Believe. Haven't seen many in this colour which is a sort of Metallic Pale Blue which seems to change colour when caught in stage lights. Great build quality and as good as any I have come across. Has been well modded and all the work was done by Steve Robinson, (Manchester Guitar Tech). EMG pick-ups, EMG BTC system with Vol/Blend and stacked Bass/Treble. Battery Box installed properly on the rear of body, so no removing control plate to change. Gotoh high-mass bridge. Black Pearl pick-guard. Sounds the "mutts nuts". Hard Case and UK Insured Courier Costs included. As I only play 5'ers these days, it is not going to get played and it is crazy having a bass as good as this sitting around doing nothing.

How about the Genz Benz deals at Bass Direct. They are 300W RMS out of the box and add another cab for 500w. Perfect solution and well within budget.

I've just put a Glockenklang 3 Band in my Carvin. Couldn't find anything on Bass Direct site but it's the 5 knob version shown here. http://www.glockenkl...oducts_bass.htm so not sure if it is the same one you were looking at. It has absolutely transformed the Carvin and I can't add much more than Luke has said other than the Mid control is a very powerful ally. I actually find I am backing off the Bass and Mid a bit rather than boosting and it really does let the Carvin pickups shine. I have also used an East 3-band and they are pretty awesome as well.
Back in the days when I owned an Oldsmobile '58 convertible I used to go to this every year - always a great atmosphere & always seemed to be sunny
Love the Sunny idea. We had a great time at the Tatton Park one last year, so hopes are high for this one.

We are playing at the AACI American Car Show at Billing Aquadrome next Saturday night, ( 15th June). If anyone in the area is going and staying for the evening piss up, come and give us a shout. Looking forward to this as the one we did last year at Tatton Park was awesome.

Might be worth speaking to Mike Walsh, (Zoot Bass and Purple Chilli Cabs). He has a CNC machine and would probably be the best if it is not a huge amount you want.

I thought you had a Barefaced Compact Steve?

Yolanda Charles does some great workshops on this very subject so check You Tube. The way she suggests you do it is learn the bassline and the song seperately and then bring them together very slowly. Slow the tempo down and onley start speeding up when you have it right at the slower tempo.
