Much thanks
Cissy Strut - The Meters Machine Gun - Commodores Pick Up The Pieces - Candy Dulfer Mission Impossible Theme - JTQ Cold Duck Time - Nick Colionne version, (Groves like a Groovin Thing on Groovin Day) Hard Work - Not sure who did the original.
 2. EA Head with EA Cabs, no contest. I was unimpressed with my EA800 and when I met up to sell, the buyer plugged it in to 2 EA Cabs. What a difference. I have regretted selling ever since.
 3. All PM's replied to and weekend bump.
 4.
Hope I don't regret it!
You won't Al. It transformed my Bacchus which was pretty awesome to start with.
 5. We bought this as a monitor and then picked up a pair of Alto PAM 5a's. It has only been used twice so is as new and includes the QTX sound padded cover it has lived in from new. The great thing about this speaker is that it has 2 inputs and a built in 2 way EQ. They go about £375 including the cover. Would like £170 for it. Great for monitoring or add another for a great Active PA. BTW ours is the Black version . Now sold via Gumtree.
 6.
I'm thinking of changing the preamp in my Shuker to a John East U Retro five knob deluxe. Anybody have any good / bad things to say about them before I blow my wad?
Al, I've got a J Retro De-Luxe in my Bacchus. As it's on a Jazz Plate, it's only a 4 knobber, so not sure what the difference is. It actually started off as a standard J-Retro, but I modded it with John's help. I think the controls are pretty similar. Love it. I took the Bart pre-amp out and the East is way, way better.
 7.
I have found his Groove Workshops DVD's the most inspiring bass video's to date...i love his spirituality about bass playing.
+1 to that. Great DVD.
 8. Anyone looking for a Zoom B2.1U. Here's a brand new one for cheap. Great pedal and comes complete with cubase LE. Linky

 11.
Friendly bunch of guys. Also, can someone give me tips as to where to find the best deals on basses and amps. I know theres some quality used stuff on ebay and gumtree but does anyone know of anywhere else that sells decently priced stuff. New or used? Being 15 is a bummer on the wallet, theres never much in it. Liam
Welcome Liam from another Manc, Best S/H deals are on here. For new stuff, you are likely to have to travel.
 12.
Love it or hate it this is mind boggling...super tight groove too...
Awesome. Stevie Williams is hoping to get Richard Bona back at Bass Day next year.
 13.
- Well, it's been a tough one - I think the Staccato would have been the better choice for me personally - which as far as I can tell is much close to the EQ centres of the F1 - which I prefer - so I suspect it will be easier to get an F1.
Why not change the eq centres to match the Stacatto and see if that does the trick? I had a similar problem when i bought an RH450, but after a bit of "fannying" arouind, I love it.
 14. I've got 2 1x12 Zoots and a 1x15 Compact. Insanely light and really great sounding cabs. I have actually had guitarists commenting on how good they sound and that doesn't happen often. Good luck with the sale. Mike Walsh, (Zoot), makes really great Cabs and Basses.
 15. Might have more luck in the "Other Music Related Stuff". That is where most people look for parts.
 16.
Good question... I have absolutely no idea. Do you know if there is a simple way to find out?
Not exactly an EASY way, but if you remove the neck, it should have the model number in the neck pocket. I was shimming the neck on mine and found out it was an SB4 series and not a 3.
 17.
http://edinburgh.gumtree.com/edinburgh/53/66899453.html yum, first single cut ive liked the look of
Looks very Victor Wooten.
 18.
It's also pretty heavy, so while I am prepared to courier it, I'd recommend pickup. £280 is what I paid about a month or so ago, I'd like the same back.
Any idea what it does weigh and what speakers it is loaded with?
 19. Am looking for a comfy Bass Guitar Strap that isn't as boring as plain Black or Brown etc. Nothing mega brash, just something a bit different. Any Ideas where to try?
 20.
I need the cash to pay for one of Alan's Graft range (5 string Gallus) to keep me in ACG-ness while waiting for my headless Gallus to be built.
Saw the Graft yesterday Peter. Droollllllllllllllllllllllllll
 21. If you want to sell the J-Retro, give me a shout. Cheers, Stuart
 22. Is this the same "plankspanker" who makes the "Fecker" transfers?
 23.
Hi Kenny, Sorry for the delay, been trying to get hold of a box!!, no luck so far, not looked into price of postage yet, but will do and will get back to you :-) John.
John, Try a "Bike Shop". The Boxes that Bikes come in are ideal. Allows for shed loads of bubble wrap or scrunched up paper to protect the bass. Interparcel will courier it for £6.95 + VAT, with £5 per £250 for insurance.
 24. It's a well-documented scam. The same 4005 MapleGlo at the same unbelievable bargain price (4005s are like hen's teeth and usually sell for more like £4k-5k) has been listed repeatedly at various supposed locations around the UK. Anyone contacting the seller asking to view the bass is told "It's at my auntie's house in the Shetlands" or somesuch bollocks.
