Vocal harmony processor, provides up to 5 part harmonies plus reverb. 1U rack mount, midi, complete with manual. Easy to use, great live or in the studio. It's one of these but with a black front. http://www.soundslive.co.uk/product~name~D...-VR~ID~1170.asp Bought off here last year for a now defunkt band. Now includes Footswitch and Insert Lead. Paid £110 for it and just looking to get my money back.

Jamie, I went through something similar about 12 months ago. Got a bit cheesed off with playing and didn't seem to be getting anywhere. Band issues didn't help either. I was thinking of jacking it in, but sense prevailed. What it did do was give me a reality check and I got rid of all the gear I didn't really use or had bought on a whim. Result was a healthy GAS fund nad everything I kept is now used as i seem to have got involved in 4 different bands.
Hi all, I have two of these in really good condition: http://www.directproaudio.com/product.cfm?directid=54689 They are pretty neat little things, just feed them an XLR and you have your own personal monitor - FAR better than stage wedges in my opinion as the sound is more focussed, less chance of feedback and thus overall stage volumes are lower. In generally good condition, a few scuffs but all works fine. Looking for £150 the pair (inc the Mic Stands) plus delivery or preferably collected from me in St Albans or Stevenage. Cheers, James
PM'd

Why not see if you can hire a small generator on the cheap. If you explain it's for Charity, you may get a good deal. Aldi/Lidl have generators occassionally for about £50, but for a 1 off I would see if you can blag one, or a long extension lead as already mentioned.

FT: MTD Kingston Heir 5 String Bass NOW GONE
BassBunny replied to lukeward2004's topic in Basses For Sale
Bump for an awesome bass....I used to own this very one. Paddy
Me too. Luke you might not be doing yourself a favour by linking to the MTD site. When I had the Bass, I had a Bart pre-amp installed, so the electronics should be better than the stock MTD ones, especially with the selectable Mid switch. Great Bass and sound awesome. Here's the original thread when i first sold it. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...mp;hl=BassBunny -
ordered a B2.1u yesterday so can't wait to start playing
I found I was lugging a pedal board around just to house a Tuner/Compressor/Limiter and Power Brick, as generally I am not big on effects BUT, I bought a Zoom B2.1U to replace the individual pedals and have found some of the effects really good. The Drum patterns are fantastic and as a result I have sold my Practice amp as well. No need anymore just a set of headphones. Great value and love that it is so compact.
Can I add a further question to this topic please? As a general rule then, should the truss rod be adjusted (if needed) after slacking off the strings or with them tuned up? Sorry for being thick....... better safe than sorry!
If you are adjusting the truss rod to get the correct neck-relief then the strings should be in tune. Only if you are going to remove the adjusting nut altogether should the strings be slackened off or removed. Obviously if you have a neck that has to be removed to make any adjustments, there won't be any strings.
Im not sure about age, i bought it second hand. But its maple, so getting the first fret off is pretty much impossible
Not sure why would you need to take the first fret off? I would follow Paul_C's advice as I have just done the same with a Bass Collection that ran out of adjustment. Remove Strings CAREFULLY slacken off the trussrod adjuster and remove it. Slip a couple of packing washers or spacer over the trussrod Lubricate the trussrod adjuster, (either a thin smear of grease or a quick spray of WD40) Replace Adjuster being careful NOT to cross-thread it. Replace strings and then set relief up. If the adjuster won't move, it could be either cross-threaded already or just seized, so it might be an idea to see if the above works first. It sorted my Bass Collection out a treat.
What do the toggles do then anyway?
Here's the official "blurb" from G&L I've had 4 L2500's, (chasing the colour I wanted), and I reckon they are fantastic Basses end of. I've had US and Tributes and finally settled on a Blueburst/Maple Tribute. after a bit of "fettling" it plays as well as the US one I had.
Well just the battery then. In all seriousnes though, how much juice do the LEDs draw? Could you connect them up to the P-Retro's power?
Not sure that's an option. The power supply for the P-Retro is on-board. If it was a 9V battery, no problem as the LED's won't drain much. I bet John would do a "mod" if asked......

"Airhead" Bass Cab "Sold Subject To the Usual"
BassBunny replied to BassBunny's topic in Amps and Cabs For Sale
Checked the Speaker and there isn't any info at all as to Impedance and Power Rating. Have contacted Carlsbro Support for the answer and will post as soon as I know. Guy i spoke to is pretty sure it is a 150W 8 Ohm Carlsbro Powertone speaker which he is sure are made for Carlsbro by Celestion. he has gone off to confirm.
And apparently it is an 8 Ohm 150W Carlsbro Powertone, (which I am led to believe are manufactured by Celestion). I have also checked it out with a meter and it is exactly the same as 2 Eminence 8 Ohm speakers i have. -
Help please: Best drum machine for drummerless rehearsals?
BassBunny replied to Beedster's topic in Accessories and Misc
No Probs silddx. I used the pedal only when I was playing a standard pattern and I wanted a fill. Sometimes you can't always programme the whole song with fills. You can also set the pedal to start & stop the song as well. The choice is his.
+1 For the MiDi route. You can then make the Drum Tracks into MP3 and Robert's your Whatsit. We do it all the time since we sacked our Drummer. You can get some crackin MiDi files for free using a Midi search engine, (Van Basco) or the like. -
I use one of these Yamaha 2x10s and find it excellent, so good luck with the sale. Just out of interest - if you're running two of these, does that mean that tiny little amp head is coping with a 2Ohm load? Crikey. M
Nope it's a 2 x 250W into 4 Ohms Amp. So 1 Cab per Amp :-)
I'll have a look at the Wharfdales. Any thought's on Soundlab (I know they used to be not very good in the 80's & 90's but how about now) or Thomann's the Box? Sorry Ian, they only want to buy new. Thanks anyway.
Neither Soundlab or Thomann are in the same league as Wharfedale. I have just bought a pair of virtually new Wharfedale Titan 15's at a stupid price. They are currently a "best kept secret".
now why doesn't my wife buy me nice stuff like that, rather than clothes that don't fit?
My wife bought me an ACG for my birthday. Had to wait for it though. -

Bought this just before I gave up Guitar to concentrate on Bass. It has had only a few hours home use, if that. 2 Channel with Bright option on the Clean Channel and Fat option on the Drive Channel. Built in effects Loop and Reverb. It's really loud for a 50W Amp and there is a review of it here. I bought it about the same time as the reviewer and paid a similar amount. http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews...+112+Combo/10/1 ( I DO have the handbook/instruction booklet) After £120 for it.
May be a bit optimistic with the price - looking like around £1300 brand new. If everything is in perfect working order then I woud say around £800 is nearer the mark
+1. SRM 450 go for around £500 - £550 and that is for MK1's, the Mk2's are tosh IMHO. I would agree that it is a bit optimistic.
