"Little Britain" prop for sale
BassBunny replied to steve-soar's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
If he doesn't want any less than £450 then surely putting the BIN at £325 isn't the best idea? Looks quite nice though, good deal
This is the 2nd or 3rd time it has been listed, (reduced in start price/BIN each time). Probably forgot to edit the description text. -
Obscure Musical Backwaters - The Great SGC Nanyo Thread
The neck pickup makes a rich powerful dark sound with a decent amount of punch, but the signal from the bridge pickup seems weak in comparison. Not sure why this might be, any suggestions welcomed.
Pete, my 405 was exactly the same, (and the Bass/Treble did sod all). Since putting the Artec 3 Band eq in it, the difference is stunning. Both pick-ups have the same volume and having controls that work is novelty. -
Do you know the bass and treble frequency centres for this preamp? I can't find anything on the basslines product page. Thanks
Finally got an answer from SD and here it is. Tone Control Centre Frequency: Bass - 30Hz +/- 12dB Treble - 5.4kHz +/- 15dB Slap Contour Centre Frequency (adjustable) Bass Boost - 83Hz +3dB to +9dB Midrange cut - 633 -3dB to -11dB I've got the full spec sheet now, if you need more info.

You need to be aware that even though you have Cash on Collection, e-Bay rules state you have to accept PayPal, and any buyer is entitled to use PP and you get hit with charges.

Cort make Basses for G&L, Lakland, Ibanez, Fender and probably the new Musicman Range. No more to be said really...... The most underrated of guitars.
Just to add to the MTD connection, if I remember correctly, these are actually a rebadged MTD Grendel, which was a Czech made MTD. I remember trying one out in the Bass Centre in London and thinking what a great bass it was.
Correct, I e-mailed Mike Tobias about one of these a few years back and that was his reply.
Don't hold your breath waiting for the reply Stuart! You might be better asking the question on their forum, someone usually rolls along with the answer. That's how I found out about my similar active circuit and where to source the pots it needed.
Thanks K. Another forum to join It's not just them, I am waiting for a response from 2 other High Profile Equipment companies and it looks like neither is now going to get my business....
Plus these are ment to have slightly better drivers in them than the ashdown loaded versions, they are ment to be the best designed ashdown cab ever so hard decision good luck with the sale and choice.
Spot On. The guy that owns the company that makes Ashdown, Trace Orange etc actually designed the Mini's. He reckons the 4x8 is the best Bass Cab he has ever designed.
hi phil, can you please let me know if you are still searching for a suitable bass player, im just 40, very experienced of the club/pub scene playing all sorts from 70's disco/rock through to more current although personally i prefer late 70's-80's music, usual stuff ( decent bass's amp etc, ) also im fairly close - ramsbottom. I would have sent you a text/called but for some its abit late ( 11pm). Let me know either way, Mark.
Hi Mark, the guy who posted is Ian, who is stepping back from playing. Phil is his Brother who, I guess, runs the band. Phil will have all the answers and it is his number that is published.
Brand new unused Energizer 9v industrial alkalines. I have a couple of hundred of these languishing in my storeroom. I am never going to use them all before the expiry dates (2013-2014, minimum 3 years), so I am selling them off cheap. They are as good as Duracells, if not better. Box of 12 for 12.00 inc postage. Box of 72 for 50.00 inc postage. Just searched Google, this is absolutely the cheapest anywhere.
Put me down for 12. PayPal OK? if so PM details and i'll sort it out. Cheers, Stuart
Great basses, the only 5er that looks and sounds like a Stingray. Best Offer function also, try £325 and see if the seller's set up auto accept? C
He will probably come back with a counter offer so you can "low ball" . I have just bought a Bass Collection 5 off him and he is a nice to guy to deal with. The only negative side is that he can't be around for courier collection so will only use Parcel Force, (drops off at Post Office on Sat). Collection isn't an issue though.

This IS an Ashdown Mini 15. I know the company who made these for Ashdown. They also make Cabs/Amps for Trace, Orange, Cornford, HiWatt and Sound City. They were a production over run when Ashdown changed the design of the side handles from rectangular to oval. As this company has an agreement that they will not market a range of their own cabs they had the red piping put on and sold them off without badges. I had an ABM115 from them loaded with a Neo speaker. Great Cabs as they are made of Brch Oly so really solid.

Obscure Musical Backwaters - The Great SGC Nanyo Thread
BassBunny replied to Happy Jack's topic in Bass Guitars
Put the new Pre-Amp in today and changed the Jack as well, (that was a bit iffy as well). What a transformation. Both pick-ups are strong a clear, and the mid control adds something previously missing. Obviously as the original Bass/Treble did sod all it is difficult for me to say what the improvement is in that area, suffice to say I now have a useful +/- 12 DB of Bass/Treble and Mid with a Mid Freq control. Apart from having to enlarge 2 of the Pot Holes,!!!!!, to take the stacked controls, a relatively simpe job. I need to check how the wires to the blend control SHOULD be wired as I am pretty sure there has been some butchery here in the past. Anyone fancy having a look when they nextt change the battery, I would really appreciate it. -
This thread seems to have become one of the chief sources on the web for information about SGC Nanyo basses - if you have something to add, then please just go ahead and add it!
Hi Jack, I will check I have the details correct with Mike and then add. -
You mean one of these? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PRECISION-BASS-VARIT...=item414c3cf545
