I have a trend I visit ( now a happy couple with grown up kids ), who live In parkstone I like it there. There is a pub called mr. Kilpps which has live bands. Haven't been In there yet. In Poole itself , The Lord nelson is always packed when a live band is on. My friends think I should move down there , as London is sooo expensive, my wages are less than 'average' etc.

Xmas pressie to myself , if it's not too pricey! I got all the connection leads a few months ago. When I was asking the I t guys in work about them, they were scratching their heads and looked at me rather oddly when they found out I was using them for these units.' They couldn't understand why I was using old stuff. I told them that , I don't think presets are proper and that the way I use these mean I get each effect individually . They were still scratching their heads .. Forgot to mention the I t guys play guitar/ like their music etc.

Nice bass! I was trailing the net for one of these, on and off over the last couple of years. It was either thus, or the dean taxi bass . I ended up with the latter.

Well, if your wallet allows, I would suggest getting something more compact. If you do, then make sure you buy heavy covers for your equipment as well. Gk, are good and some of their stuff is portable. Things to consider ; do you drive ? Would you consider a loud combo? If you consider separates , I would recommend something like Aguilar head, and a db series cab. You could buy a padded cover for both. Alternatively, if you really wanna stay with go, I'm sure they must have a range to suit . Just a bit of chopping and changing your present setup ( you may be able to keep the head). Over to others😉

There's me expecting one of those hollow body things. Reminds me of a Kramer ,or one of those things that mark king used to use. I notice the seller has, other items for sake . O bids ,except for a frames bass.

Rob. Sorry, I won't be able to help. What I will say tho', is that I too have a washburn status. I kept getting radio/police messages on mine at band rehearsals. I ended up giving it to a tech, to make the pickups passive( no battery needed anymore). The sound was /is different from the brightness that you normally get with this bass. In the meantime, have a bump for some proper help.

... But after plugging my 8 string into my gallien'freddy' Krueger combo , I changed my mind. I also plugged in my old boss me8b multi fx in to it. It just sounded good. There are loads of options on my line. 6 podfarm,, and GarageBand ( which I bitch about -or is that botch ?) It seems that, I'm coming out of a rut, and am finding the enthusiasm to plug in wires/ transformers and cables again . Now to get the boss rc2 looper out ...

I always like reading about these vinyl topics. ( yet to read this thread all the way through tho'). I must say that my( and many others) listening habits have changed somewhat, since the mid '80s. I remember selling lots of vinyl,and buying the cd versions cheap/2nd hand. All well and good,until you find certain albums have not been transferred to cd in the 21st century. I still have a fair bit of vinyl( approx 2 small hi-fi cabinets full. )Still have cassettes in the loft. Most of ny stuff is cd , which is my fave way of having a physical musical product. Over the last say ,7/8 years I listen to stuff on my iPhone .once I buy cd, I put it straight into my mac computer. I still have loads of stuff to do on that side of things. Next month, I will try spotify. If I like it, I will use that also. Tbh, as I look over at my pink triangle turntable, which is gathering dust as the lid broke, I think that I am fed up with the vinyl after all this time. Why buy a format , I was told to ditch? Have I got time for it? Why go backwards, when the way forward is download? Have I got the room? If I bought all the stuff I used to have, then obviously not. I look at my bookshelf speakers, and wonder if they should be replaced with a sound dock etc.
