1. That's the thing Jon. I'm assuming that, other than the frets, both basses should, in theory be the same . They're even the same colour .
2. This topic has just reminded me to start using the cat piano app , to annoy my neighbours cats
3.
dont take my word for it though if youre at the SE bass bash you can compare and contrast my fretted and unfretted J's
Nice basses
4. Strange really. My go to bass, is normally my was burn status. It's fretted. But for some reason , the fretless vester feels light and smooth to play. Maybe it's the strings, which are the lightest I've ever played . They have black threading on the tops , and have been on it since 1994/6
5. Thanks Steve . Looks like I should keep the basses I have then.
6. I have a fretless vester custom bass. I occasionally browse here and flea bay for the fretted version of that bass. I was wondering tho' , I would have thought that both basses. Should have the same feel to them. What do you think ?
7. And to think, in my last band Mr. Vocals used to look at his lyric book onstage. I think the drummer from this band , may have stabbed him to death. 'Drummer in the wrong band?' So, Mr. Drums and the op,have quit. Just wondering what mr. Guitar thought? Suppose it doesn't matter now. That's bands for you ..
8. Thanks brx what if you just wanna use bass+synth effect instead of keyboard ?
9. Would I be right in saying , something like a bass/synth wan pedal is better in terms of functionality? The bass does look cool tho'. Think I saw one used on rocks hool back in the day.
10. Love Aguilar . Used to have the smaller version of that amp (the sc model) . Have a bump for a great price
11. Nice bass.
12.
I seem to remember Testament were the support act.....
Yes , and maybe metal church ??
13. Things I just remembered; I still have the ride the lightning sweatshirt . It was signed by lars in the duke of Cornwall pub in hammer smith . Can't remember the band we were seeing that night tho'. Trouble is, the sig faded in the wash..doh! What did I do with all of my t shirts? Well, this was before the days of eBay , plus they were well worn.. They just got thrown out .
14.
The Anthrax t-shirt i have (somewhere) was from this gig at Hammersmith Odeon in 1987.....when i was 15 Anthrax - I Am The Law (Live 1987): http://youtu.be/tCdsO1mBGE4 Now i feel old.....
We were at the same gig I really wish it was this time all over again
15. Don't mention it what are you intending to get in its place?
16. Will checkout later, as my iPad won't let me. Hope the frontman doesn't start preaching halfway through the set tho'
17. My very first gig . Very nervous 30th birthday gig( altho' still 29 when I did gig in front of 200 people) head like a hole by 9 inch nails. After that, straight into losing my religion . That's another story
18. Nice bass, cool playing. Bass has a kinda kubicki sound to it .have a bump, as times are hard
19. Make it honey burst, like a Schecter
20. Me and some friends were talking about our fave t shirts we got at gigs over the years. I did a google, and downloaded the nearest I could to the actual ones. Helloween, Crüe, rush, Motörhead, anthrax . They had cool fronts and backs with tour dates when possible. What's yours?
21. Pink is wrong, on so many levels. Those strings for example . Only IMHO
