1. I like the string spacing on this. Looks really comfortable for a headless 5 string. I would have to sell one of my other basses to buy this, by the time that happened , it would be gone. Have a bogart bump anyway .
2. You're a top bloke Roland Love the colour. I really thought of getting one , a few years back. I can't get one really , as I have an outrageous dean taxi bass. Bump to somebody else on here
3. Are these any good? I like the idea of everything compact.
4. Impossible to say which period was best for rush IMHO. I've seen then from the hold your fire tour , and every london tour since. Been a fan for many years before. I would say that the r30 gig ,was the best I saw them. I would say that the Rio dvd , I s maybe the best. But I could change my mindin 5 mins. I must say tho' that the best I've seen Alex solo, is on the analogue kid at the O2 a couple of years back.
5. How much for the cat? Any trades?
6.
Funny you should mention that... http://www.wimp.com/cattheremin/
Brilliant !
7. I may end up keeping these, as they still work well. There are 2 flaws, with these monitors hence the price. First issue; the light from my computer burned a small part of the top of one of the monitors while unattended.-Doh!! Second issue; while using these with a mixer, I accidentally clipped one of the monitors. If I startup my Mac mini before turning on the monitors, everything works perfectly fine. The problem is, if I turn monitors on before I startup the Mac, there is a slight crackling noise from one of the monitors. The only reason that these monitors may be going, is because I had to buy a soundbar for my TV , and I have too many speakers in my flat. I don't record much, so will use my hifi instead. I will include the 2 kettle lead power supplies for both, and the TRS cables for connection to your devices. I still have original boxes. Would prefer, if you came to my home in twickenham to try out . Yes I know, that the pics are upside down, but I am tired .zzz;) Cheers
8. Graham Noden ..cool guy;) Used hm a few times over the years. Recommend ed Btw; probably best to phone him .
9. I played planet earth(Duran) ,in my last band. The 2 guitarists, we're having trouble with the dual middle bit. I suggested they started off with the guitars. We played it in the style of maiden , and it always went down well. Nice brief bass solo too. What? No mustang Sally ? No rivers of Babylon ?
10. Gotta give you a bump. One of the few basses, I would trade my telecaster bass for
11. Just signed it , and forwarded it to a few of my gig going friends;)
12.
Yes, you are, but not only because of the petition.
Oh gee! Thank you dad. Now I feel like a 5 year old saying that. I'd better sign it now.
13. I'm not gonna be inundated with spam then..?
14. Why do I have to put my postcode on the petition ?
15. I go to less big gigs these days. I expect to pay at least £70 for example if Metallica play the o 2. What annoys me more than that, is the fact that the tickets disappear as soon as they goon sake/ presale etc. if you manage to get a tkt, eve then you could be virtually miles away from the stage in a very high and scary position . Plus, if you cannot access a computer at 9am , because you are working, then who is going to get a tkt for you? Does this mean you miss out ? Aaarghhh!
16.
I worked there in 1994- a pretty little place but I think it has an ageing population. This usually means houses are blooming expensive too! We're still looking at areas of Bournemouth- I think anything too urbanised would be a massive shock to us coming from rural West Somerset. We're going to check some areas out in January. All this info has been a great help. Happy to listen to anymore.
Iving in twickenham , I understand expensive;) I'm 50+ now, so if there was a way to live calmly in a nice part of the world, I would have to consider it
17.
I have worked there a few times. To get to it from West Dorset is an absolute nightmare, especially in the summer (Bournemouth/Poole get in the way). It has good access from the East and North, but again the holiday traffic block up Lyndhurst badly in the summer. There are nice bits around it, with a slightly lower age demographic (Mudeford etc) but not by much.
Thanks as mentioned earlier , my friend who lives in parkstone recommends it. I know I bitch about London ( lived there all my life), but one thing about London is the bus service is excellent . Things to remember when bitching about London . I would assume I. Would have to travel to Bournemouth for employment . Sorry to op for chipping in
18. Maybe the previous owner, was trying to gloss over that.. Lovely bass tho' .
19. ...witha big stick! I think it's called Canadian club
20. I have a trend I visit ( now a happy couple with grown up kids ), who live In parkstone I like it there. There is a pub called mr. Kilpps which has live bands. Haven't been In there yet. In Poole itself , The Lord nelson is always packed when a live band is on. My friends think I should move down there , as London is sooo expensive, my wages are less than 'average' etc.
