  1. Proxy spellchecker ..should be moog minitaur
  2. Don't know if a moot miniatur has a foot pedal option. Cheaper than a full blown Taurus ...
  3. Good for metal
  4. When I qued up to meet metallica at shades records many years ago, I asked a rather stoned looking cliff burton about his playing. 'Get a phaser' he smiled. Too old to do the hero worship thing now
  5. It's a comb. The seller obviously wants to part with it .
  6. Haven't read all of this thread yet. I used to like the ads in bass player magazine tho'. If it's true, then they have fantastic customer service.
  7. Great for fretless.
  8. I like that . Wish I was a keyboard player. Have a bump
  9. Could go for a cheap soundbar ?
  10. Sorry to hear about your redundancy..have a bump
  11. Very sad news all round. I would imagine it's the end of ac/dc . As brian wants to retire soon . 1 last tour in 2015/2016 perhaps?
  12. Thanks guys . I have done GarageBand in the past . I find the version on snow leopard buggy. Was thinking of either doing logic, or the GarageBand on iPad . I find the recording process long winded, for what I want. I was thinking of buying one of those boss loopers which have a few loopers ion one (boss 500?) This would mean I could do bAss on one, drums on another etc. Was thinking of the boomerang sampler. More opinions needed;)
  13. Mungo jerry. Rivers of Babylon. Banana splits. Slick . Pilot . Chirpy chirpy cheep cheep. Brotherhood of man . Alex Harvey band .
  14. Some of you know that I find recording stuff a bit of a turnoff. Anyway another dumb question; I have a boss rc2 looper. I also have a couple of loop apps. However, I like the look of the maschine app( and similar). What I was thinking of doing is recording bass loops onto something like a kaoss pad and put a few other things like drums etc. can this be done on the fly? Any advise greatly received;)
  15. Mmmm, I think over kills bass player dd verni and randy coven used them .
  16. I always remember a gig I played in a small pub in Fulham a few years back. Looking from the stage, I could see this great big cloud hovering over the top of the entire pub. Dry ice would've been preferable . Now when you go into a pub, you can smell polish, and you can recognise what flavour crisps people were having. When you get home, you can't smell the tar/nicotine on your clothes next day.
  17. Yeah, always advertised in bass player magazine back in the day, ( when I had hair also). Very hair metal. Never saw them advertised in the uk at the time tho'. So, that meant. Never tried one out .
  18. I bought these DVDs when they came out a couple of years ago. Good stuff;)
  19. My Washburn status has a truss rod. Thing about status necks, is that the bright sound doesn't hide the clanking sound IMHO .very bright
  20. I played it a couple of times in my last band. I think it's one of those songs that everything has to be spot on. Not easy IMHO . Mr. Vocals probably has the hardest job on that one. Even if tuned down I preferred doing it's my life
  21. No surprise really.
  22. Haven't read all. The thread yet. Really sorry about your family situation .. I would have expected more sympathy , than nasty comments.thatsthe trouble with bands. People as well. Just when you think you know them... Move on from that band IMHO
