I go to less big gigs these days. I expect to pay at least £70 for example if Metallica play the o 2. What annoys me more than that, is the fact that the tickets disappear as soon as they goon sake/ presale etc. if you manage to get a tkt, eve then you could be virtually miles away from the stage in a very high and scary position . Plus, if you cannot access a computer at 9am , because you are working, then who is going to get a tkt for you? Does this mean you miss out ? Aaarghhh!
I worked there in 1994- a pretty little place but I think it has an ageing population. This usually means houses are blooming expensive too! We're still looking at areas of Bournemouth- I think anything too urbanised would be a massive shock to us coming from rural West Somerset. We're going to check some areas out in January. All this info has been a great help. Happy to listen to anymore.
Iving in twickenham , I understand expensive;) I'm 50+ now, so if there was a way to live calmly in a nice part of the world, I would have to consider it
I have worked there a few times. To get to it from West Dorset is an absolute nightmare, especially in the summer (Bournemouth/Poole get in the way). It has good access from the East and North, but again the holiday traffic block up Lyndhurst badly in the summer. There are nice bits around it, with a slightly lower age demographic (Mudeford etc) but not by much.
Thanks as mentioned earlier , my friend who lives in parkstone recommends it. I know I bitch about London ( lived there all my life), but one thing about London is the bus service is excellent . Things to remember when bitching about London . I would assume I. Would have to travel to Bournemouth for employment . Sorry to op for chipping in

I have a trend I visit ( now a happy couple with grown up kids ), who live In parkstone I like it there. There is a pub called mr. Kilpps which has live bands. Haven't been In there yet. In Poole itself , The Lord nelson is always packed when a live band is on. My friends think I should move down there , as London is sooo expensive, my wages are less than 'average' etc.

Boss micro rack series
RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE replied to RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE's topic in Effects
Xmas pressie to myself , if it's not too pricey! I got all the connection leads a few months ago. When I was asking the I t guys in work about them, they were scratching their heads and looked at me rather oddly when they found out I was using them for these units.' They couldn't understand why I was using old stuff. I told them that , I don't think presets are proper and that the way I use these mean I get each effect individually . They were still scratching their heads .. Forgot to mention the I t guys play guitar/ like their music etc. -

NBD - Charvel/Jackson Surfcaster Bass
RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE replied to wingnutkj's topic in Bass Guitars
Nice bass! I was trailing the net for one of these, on and off over the last couple of years. It was either thus, or the dean taxi bass . I ended up with the latter. -

Well, if your wallet allows, I would suggest getting something more compact. If you do, then make sure you buy heavy covers for your equipment as well. Gk, are good and some of their stuff is portable. Things to consider ; do you drive ? Would you consider a loud combo? If you consider separates , I would recommend something like Aguilar head, and a db series cab. You could buy a padded cover for both. Alternatively, if you really wanna stay with go, I'm sure they must have a range to suit . Just a bit of chopping and changing your present setup ( you may be able to keep the head). Over to others😉

washburn status pickup blend pot wiring issue
RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE replied to big rob's topic in Repairs and Technical
Rob. Sorry, I won't be able to help. What I will say tho', is that I too have a washburn status. I kept getting radio/police messages on mine at band rehearsals. I ended up giving it to a tech, to make the pickups passive( no battery needed anymore). The sound was /is different from the brightness that you normally get with this bass. In the meantime, have a bump for some proper help. -
... But after plugging my 8 string into my gallien'freddy' Krueger combo , I changed my mind. I also plugged in my old boss me8b multi fx in to it. It just sounded good. There are loads of options on my line. 6 podfarm,, and GarageBand ( which I bitch about -or is that botch ?) It seems that, I'm coming out of a rut, and am finding the enthusiasm to plug in wires/ transformers and cables again . Now to get the boss rc2 looper out ...
