1. Sorry to hear of your crappy circumstances. Keep on playing , &things will get better;)
2. Not easy to decide here;) I would say that if you really love one of your fretted basses you own, the logical thing to do would be to get the exact equivalent in a fretless.
3.
V Sad. Here he is at the Marquee in 1980, a gig I am pretty sure I attended http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CI-LoFQeSNc
I think this was the gig for the Danny baker documentary. They did 3 ( or was it 4 nights) . I went to first and last nights. People fainting etc. awesome.
4. Shame. Saw him lots in the early days.
5. Similar to Dave, O met imaiden years ago. It was my very 1st gig, at the music machine(now koko). My friends saw maiden , and we chatted to them. The guys have me some of their beer.(I was underage ) . Smashing fellas. Didn't see them that night I saw praying mantis , Girl ( their 1 st gig) and Quartz. Ozzy was spotted backstage. Saw maiden for the first time then. Only Dave Murray on guitar.
6.
Shepherds Bush Empire?! Surely it will be Wembley Stadium!
Nah, tbh they haven't been over here for so long. Maybe wembley arena? I think they would probably do shepherds bush just to test the water. Hope they don't do outdoors, as apart from Rammstein I've had enough of outdoor gigs.
7.
saw a bottle of mötorhead..........WINE! in the off licence last week. not the first alcoholic beverage thing I'd associate with the lemmeister, but there you go.
True. He used to love vodka &orange . Can't really be bothered with all this gimmickry now. Guess I'm too old for that .)
8. Probably end up going, if I can get tkt. hopefully at shepherds bush empire
9. I had the v amp pro. Instructions are terrible . Not all of the effects are bass . Couldn't get on with it , so it had to go,boss me50b much better. Do you really need virtual amps ?
10. Well, you're seeing a teacher- great start . He/she will over time show you how to hold the neck properly when playing .( not joking here ). You will probably be shown the 2 finger method of playing. This is before you slap;) Also scales , triads , cycle of 5ths etc. You could ask him / her to workout songs that you wanna learn. Other than that , tuition DVDs of your fave bass players. Oh. & don't forget posture . Have bass same height standing/ sitting
11. Sold some wall hangers to him a few years back. Top guy to do business with,) Sorry I took so long to leave feedback. I think I got the 7 confused with a T .
12. Slow market for 8 strings. ( withdrew mine from sale a few days ago). Have a manowar bump.
13. So many.) Struggling to think of less than 4 . So, Chris Franke , jean michel jarre , Neil peart Joe Satriani.
14. Did you find out who stole the fenders?
15. If it were female, you could have called it Sally . Get an endorsement with fender and you have...
16. Let's be honest. There are soooo many,) I haven't seen the posts above properly,as I am in pub. Most of us IMHO would say, sabbath / budgie / Metallica . Choosing single songs , is more difficult. I will name many throughout this good thread. At the moment it's ; prong' who's fist is this anyway' . Supernaut by sabbath/ & enter sandman

18. Remember him being on TV a lot when I was a kid. Shame, he seemed like a real character
19.
He's in Stockport though isn't he? Anyway, there are plenty on the list that I doubt many people haove heard .. After Midnight - JJ Cale Pumped up kicks - Foster the people Steam - Laura Vane and the Vipertones Enjoy the ride - Morcheeba Rome wasn’t built in a day - Morcheeba So much trouble - Sir Joe Quaterman Is it my perception or are there a hell of a lot of cover bands around at the moment, breeding like flies over the last few years.
Haven't heard any of those. Must be getting old
20. What? Where is I will survive?
21. Used to be ..rock covers (I'm a metal head ,) Wanted to play in electro metal( ministry /front 242 etc ) never happened. If I were to join a band again, I'd go for tangerine dream meets tool kinda band. Was in 2 blues bands. Made me feel very old. On one rehearsal , I decided I had enough of the blues . We had songs such as' lightning blues , 'blues in my head'. When the band leader said 'I've got another song- down man blues' , I resigned from the band. 'We are a blues band you know ..,' Me; 'really ??' So no , I couldn't do blues anymore . And I hate soul/ funk etc. so I may not be varied enough.
