1. What should've happened is for Taylor Hawkins to guest on drums, Dave grohl vocals etc. that would've been better IMHO
 2. Does this mean heather mills, will be there also playing Courtney love ?
 3. Don't really know what to say. I remember where I used to work in a place, where me and my bosses played CDs everyday . Unfortunately , I had to endure about 2 hours of torture one day. It was my bosses turn to put something on.must have been about 2 hours of Ravi Shankar. Tedium at its worst. Obviously talented and more respected than his brother Michael. Rip anyway
 4. Go back to the mid '8os. Me with loads of hair, metal t shirts daily ,jeans etc. in the workplace. I stood outa little(it was an advertising co. where I worked) Got talking to various people ( some are my best mates now) . I n that building was: keyboard players singers 1 superb guitarist and me. We formed a couple of birthday bands.we used to work around the corner from Denmark street and were always in there. When you go for job interviews. ,people find our anyway. People in this co. I work know I play bass When I started working as a temp. I couldn't work late on tues due to band practice. People find out anyhow in conversation. I guess
 5. First thing you need to do, upload pics. Then you have to name a price you hope to get. Signatures on Bass; depends who it is tbh. Good luck
 6. Thanks Nige,) interesting... So I'm stuck with the jd bass. Not a bad thing I suppose. Back to square one..,,

 9.
Start with the 3 root notes. There’s not really much more to it. If you want to elaborate just play around those notes. That's what I did , when I used to do it. Let Mr. Guitar have the spotlight ,)
10.
DO NOT DEFRET THE JD!! Truckstop
Is that because it won't raawk? ,)
 11. Okay , nobody has too many basses.( apologies for daft topic); The market is slow, so selling things is a pain .Also, I don't really want to do eBay ,as I find Basschat better(when bug is fixed) Anyhow, please have a look at my sig below. Washburn status is staying. I really don't wanna sell the Tele bass , as next to the Washburn is the best feel of my basses. What I was thinking of doing, was defretting the jd bass, and selling the vester . I love the vester , but there aren't many jd basses about and it makes a good ornament in the flat) ; 8string? Not for me really,as I got a fantastic boss unit that replicates it and more. 5 string? Love it , but was thinking of keeping one of the others and tuning bead permanently.also, maybe I'm better using a headless 5string . 6 string? Hardly used, but recently enjoy noodling in bedroom, Acoustic bass? Do I really need it?love the colour. Please feel free to give me advice/ criticism Cheers
 12. I have a line 6 toneport gx(with podfarm). Plug the box into the USB socket of your pc/mac and off you go Someone here is selling one
 13.
I'm the other bloke who likes Tai Shan. All these years, I thought it was just me...
Aargh! Noooo! That's two of you.somebody help,)
 14.
Green Day?? Really? I think dirnt is the most over-rated player out there (but thats a whole new thread)
Are you digging up the dirnt? Sorry ,)
 15.
Have you seen Thin Lizzy's most recent line-up? I received two tickets to see them in Glasgow as a birthday gift last year, and wasn't convinced anyone could step in for Phil - but I need to say, Marco Mendoza does a great job.
He is a great bassist. Saw him with Ted Nugent a good few years ago. The reason I say L izzy initially, is that nobody could replace phil ,) IMHO Saw lizzy with sykesey a few years back . They wre good. But sorry Thin Lizzy are a tribute /covers band now IMHO .(another thread)?
 16.
Both musically and - probably more so - on a personal level, things changed in Metallica when Cliff died.
They sure did,) still think they were assholes for the 'mastering ' of the justice album.
 17. True about the pub side of things & death metal. You need to find more specialised venues. Dirty south , Barfly ? Most pubs prefer covers IMHO , as its easier to play for people who wanna hear choons. (Sorry)
 18.
Both musically and - probably more so - on a personal level, things changed in Metallica when Cliff died.
I was thinking long and hard about this. Trouble is they have had fantastic replacements . Not sure..

 20. Got the first 4 albums , and a compilation. Friend gave me mp3,which I still haven't bothered with. I think rage for order and mindcrime are the best 2.cant choose really . They were brilliant.dont know who was the more camp that night ,) I hate spitting!! Unhygienic cu nxt Tuesdays that do that!
 21. Okay, (this really difficult) , Me (if I'm worthy ) Joe satriani Chris franke (tangerine dream)keyboards Neil peart King diamond Yngwe malmsteen (nah! He'd have a hissy fit ) Schenker ( no! He's too unreliable) Then it' has gotta be Tony macalpine for the final guitar spot.
