So many questions Nige ,) Since joining Basschat ; I spend way too much time on here and should really practice more. Was in 2 bands at one time , now I'm in none. I think my playing has improved bizarrely enough , as I don't practice with other musicians. (This may change later in the year) I have began ''recording''' on my iPad / GarageBand but need to (&will) record more.got rid of the gas, and am trying to decide how many basses I will offload in the future(gasp) I am pondering over the idea of getting a moog , but don't want anything too complicated as I don't know if I have time to learn another instrument . Having said that, I was thinking of getting a Wavedrum , but it may be too noisy for my flat,) I have started playing my bass with effects through headphones , and am beginning to understand how to use them ( subtlety - not all the time). Ch guitars ?

I have 2 pairs of sennheiser. Both are on the way out 1 earpiece has broen off from the headband. The other keeps cutting out . Headphones always break IMHO . Shops refer to take faulty ones back. I tend to bin them periodically !

just before I left school, mummy got me a hondo11 black les Paul ccpy.from a catalogue It was a lovely axe. Unfortunately I was worse than useless, so mummy returned it and got me a hondo precision copy. Anyway, over the Xmas I looked on fleabay and found that you can still get them at bargain price. (Late 70s) Sounds like you have a nice find there. Pics ?

I thought Daisy basses were supposed to be very girly. If I were a girl , I would use a headless. Having said that, a girlie friend of mine picked up my Washburn status and found it heavy. Suzuki Quattro used a tele bass in her early days as a lot of people know.

When I moved into my flat, I bought some ceiling speakers( 2 for bedroom/2for hallway). They were about £38 a pair. Got some 79 strand cable as well. played through my Cambridge audio amp the sound is excellent . When I spoke to a guy in Sevenoaks hi fi, he said "keep your b&w speakers for the living room." Tbh, I think I should have put ceiling speakers in the living room as well..

Interesting thread. If you like your sound(and equipment ) stick with it . There are so many iPod docks now , which IMHO promote mp3's as priority . But, some of these docks sound great. You can plug your CD player into them as well. I have seperate amp , CD player speaker. Having said that , I listen to my music on my iPhone through noise cancelling headphones . Don't play as much music at home because of this. There have been A few threads on this recently .

Played this at my first gig many years ago,) Think i did it in 3 notes. E A. B a ( main versre) Beginning riff d-e on a string. Such a long time ago , but i think that was all there was to it.
