Howdy! I've had my dean stylist hollow body bass for a while now. When I got it. , the action was very high . Last night, I lowered the action via the two thick screws on saddle area. Since then , the bass plays great .. except for the fault above. Is a truss rod adjustment required? Please help Cheers

Howdy! Recently , I've been buying boss rack effects .I love the simplicity and ease of use . However, I have the boss looper mentioned above? Bear in mind , I'm not in a band anymore , and am trying to record stuff on GarageBand etc. Just wondering if it's better to have a rack effects looper or should I save my cash and stick with the boss ? God almighty! I bought a couple of early muse albums in HMV sales a few years back.,( don't play them anymore) That disco song was dreadful. Didn't mind pil ( JR does look a bit like wurzel gummidge. ) Catweazle is good. As for xx ..total lifeless crap IMHO. Beach boys? Not relevant anymore, go away. Wish jools would get Rush, Rammstein or Slayer on his show to,liven things up a bit. Or Joe satriani.)

Howdy! Ive not been in a band for 2 years now. However, I have started recording( very basic gband stuff)last year. This is bass, some keyboard splurges, and a couple of apps. Trouble is , I keep thinking of Korg Wavedrum. GAS ,) Then it got me thinking , should I buy a couple of cheaper Tom toms and learn how to play them? To be honest , I haven't seen any hand percussionists in pub bands, just a drummer. Then I was thinking, if I got a wavedrum , would it be useless because I can only play bass? I'd like to learn another instrument (mid life crisis ) But don't wanna waste my time if I can't use it. Or maybe, I'm best leaving it and carry on recording, improving that as I go along. What do you think?

All too depressing, to be honest. The only way I look at things is forward. Although my wages have been'average/below average , I have been employed most of my life and have been only less than 6months unemployed. These last few years have been terrible, but I'm not the only one,) Wages will be going down instead of up. I had to laugh today , the barrister at cafe Nero told me my coffee will cost more from Monday.I told him that of course I'm not surprised.)

I asked about a wavedrum , awhile back and like the idea of it .saw the above , which are more expensive. Am thinking about trading a bass for 'em if they're as good as they look.

That's the trouble with bands. 'Can't rehearse this week , gotta look after the kids' . ' can do any gig , but not the 21st-24th' etc. Then you have holidays . Sounds like you should get a dep for that big gig, and after that , always keep one handy incase it happens again. Good luck with it.)

Love Randy. Got the first two albums,(sammy/funk) great stuff. I also got the (advanced) hot licks tutorial video at the time. Wanted a whammy bar on a bass for years, but never got round to it.(don't want one anymore') The thing that makes me laugh tho' is the video.. he seems so out of it,) Apparently he taught Mr. Mayung a thing or two... Not sure if he's itch malmsteen at the moment. BTW , I wonder if he has still got that bass??
