  1. Basswood always sounds so "fabricated", somehow, but it only means Lime Tree (Linden) - perfectly good, very light tonewood, imho. Reminds me of the tree on the boundary at Canterbury. Much more friendly!
  2. That's really lovely - GLWTS.
  3. How would you say the sound of these compares wih a P? (GLWTS, by the way!)
  4. Bump for a lovely, quirky instrument. GLWTS!
  5. Just get a Wilco Johnson machine-gun bass* *OK it was a guitar, but literary licence and all that!
  6. Do you mean Feb 2022? GLWTS.
  7. Absolute steal at this price - these have been slowly increasing in value and recognition over the past few years. GLWTS.
  8. And so say all of us. GLWTS
  9. Very sad, one of music's real characters. I saw him with Solid Senders in 1978 - you couldn't take your eyes off him. He'll be much missed.
  10. Jeez, what a bargain! GLWTS - won't stay here long.
  11. Awesome! I bet you needed a lie-down after taking the pix! GLWTS.
  12. Lovely bass! There's one of these on Reverb at a similar price, but not such a nice colour, but this does seem a steal - £650 new. I struggle to play 4, let alone 5 strings, otherwise I would seriously be tempted, but GLWTS anyway.
  13. This is beautiful and definitely deserves a bump! Unfortunately, I could only extend to the Sterling by Music Man version, and I love that. This would be awesome! GLWTS!
  14. That's a bargain, though it is pretty heavy. If I hadn't just replaced my entire rig, I'd be very tempted at this price. GLWTS!
  15. Was this before or after Dieselgate? 😂
  16. I must admit, I did wonder about that!
  17. You could bring a fish.
  18. As amended by the 130th...?
  19. Tantalising! I'm just getting to grips with mine - so many great options on the John East preamp that I haven't dared use my Flyrig with it yet. Hang in there!
  20. I'm sorry to have to show my ignorance, but what is the purpose of the "Hootenanny button" on the back of the headstock? Looks like a strap button!? Not that you'll need it with this gem, but GLWTS! Pete
  21. These are really giggable - I know someone who gigs with his - Stingray-toned basses. This is a bargain price too. GLWTS!
  22. What a beautiful bass - Atelier Z simply better than Fender imho.
