    Basswood always sounds so "fabricated", somehow, but it only means Lime Tree (Linden) - perfectly good, very light tonewood, imho. Reminds me of the tree on the boundary at Canterbury. Much more friendly!

    Very sad, one of music's real characters. I saw him with Solid Senders in 1978 - you couldn't take your eyes off him. He'll be much missed.

    Lovely bass! There's one of these on Reverb at a similar price, but not such a nice colour, but this does seem a steal - £650 new. I struggle to play 4, let alone 5 strings, otherwise I would seriously be tempted, but GLWTS anyway.
