    UPDATE: I've been told that we can have the space one Saturday in April, but which one will have to wait until a bit nearer the time, as they have a fortnightly commitment to another group, who haven't yet sorted out their 2023 dates. I'll post some pix of the location next week when I'm there for our monthly improv night.

    NBD! (I'll probably post on that thread too, but here's the stuff you've - well I've - been waiting for) 😉 I finally picked up the bass from Jon on Thursday, but haven't had time or the pix to do anything about it until now. It's awesome! It oozes quality, the action with the brass nut is superb, the tonal range from the John East pre-amp is incredible - everything from a Stingray clank to a Jamerson thud - and it weighs... 7lb 6oz!! Jon was quite apologetic - he'd been aiming for 7lb, I think - but the Hipshot detuner I added to the spec took it over the top. Anyway, here are some pix. Enjoy!

    I found a GK-branded (but probably not GK-licensed) gigbag for my MB200 on fleabay for £15 from a seller called polar_audio, but there's no sign of any there now. Might be worth getting in touch with them? It has plenty of protection and room for the head and a kettle lead power cable. Very happy with it!

    I'm struggling to maintain any kind of equilibrium looking at this bass. If I didn't have a custom from Jon Shuker coming very soon, I'd be all over this. As that's the situation, all I can do is offer a very strong endorsement, and a bump! GLWTS.

    No, not yet. Jon's not quite there yet and, what with one thing and another, I won't get to Hope Valley until the middle of September, but I can assure you there will definitely be a copious NBD when I get it! Tantalising, huh?!
