  1. Hi there - easiest way to address your questions is copy/paste from other questions & answers šŸ˜‰ 1. Neck straight and not twisted? To the naked eye and gently laying a spirit level along its length, it is straight with the body of the spirit level touching the frets evenly along the neck's length. 2. truss rod work as normal? Yes, whereas it's not loose by any means, with a little effort it is moving clockwise & anti-clockwise 3. not excessive fretwear? No marks on the frets or rose wood between them 4. are all the bits original as it was made? Since I didn't own it from new I can only be certain that no parts have been replaced in the time I've had it. Whether the previous owner changed anything is not apparent save for the pickups which whilst they look original to me maybe different from those that it left the factory with It is apparent to me that the connection underneath the controls have been re-soldered at some point (and not a pro job !) - and I guess this could indicate that the pickups are not the originals 5. Iā€™m guessing you found the date taking the neck off? I didn't but Andertons did, and when I removed one of the pickups this afternoon there is a little round label underneath with RU 12 27 hand written on it (so December 27th in US date format). 6. paypal ok for payment? I don't do PayPal I'm afraid, I could do electronic transfer (bank to bank) or cash of course More photos are attached to assist and with me having taken strings and a pickup off the guitar is going to need setting up from scratch - but I guess you'd do that for your own taste/playing style anyway. I have full high res versions of all these if you any. FYI - I've owned the guitar for a little over 30 years but haven't been able to play it for over 20 years due to creeping neuropathy in my left hand.
  2. Chrome cover was not with the guitar when I bought it some 30 odd years ago
  3. Thanks for the heads up - I'll give it a go
  4. Guitar now SOLD !, 26 Sep 2021 Thanks to all who've expressed interest šŸ˜‰ Neck date of late Dec 1982 Fender Jazz Bass, 3 Colour Sunburst Finish (62 Vintage Model), serial V003173. Weighs in at 9.5lbs and is in nice condition apart from a few minor lacquer blemishes on the back of the neck. Comes with a hard case (not Fender) and was recently authenticated, tested and valued by Andertons in Guildford where I bought it from in the early 90s. It's hardly been used in the last 20 years due to increasing neuropathy in my left hand šŸ„µ. It's priced to be mid range of the valuation given by Andertons, so no daft low bids please ! Also please expect extra Ā£30+/- for courier to UK or Ā£75 +/- for overseas. This is a private sale.
  5. So I'm a complete novice on BassChat šŸ™ƒ but have an American made (Dec 1982), 62 Vintage 3 colour Sunburst Jazz Bass to sell. I've created a topic with pictures and then paid for a single marketplace item - for the life of me I cannot find where / how to create a 'proper' advert........... help !
