  1. Thanks Frank - now you say it, I think I should probably have known!
  2. But then you'll get 52 other roller-makers to copy parts of your original product and improve on your original effort.
  3. While I'm at it, I want to get hold of the Jez who was at the Bash today - there are so many Jez's on the forum, it's difficult to know who is who.
  4. Damn, I missed that, Richard. Never mind, excuse to get one!

  6. Absolutely, Simon. Thanks @jebroad Jamie, and thank you too to everyone who attended and to those who offered their advice and experience, their interest and their enthusiasm. It was a splendid afternoon and I'm looking forward to the next (perhaps better-attended, when things have opened up a little - fingers crossed).
  7. That works for the led dot markers on the frets. (Google Translate) Is that right? Anyway, what a dream piece of bass!
  8. Slightly off-topic, I know, but where did you get that case? The Music Man hard cases weigh a ton. (I can recommend the Sterling short-scale, by the way! But you're not having mine!)
  9. That is only going to work when Hofner do their own Hobnobs Bass. Or even a Verythin Hobnobs.
  10. Good point. I'll bring something. Anyone got tickets?
  11. I was just comparing prices on a Gretsch G5440LSB hollow-body in a beautiful burnt orange (£885 at Thomann; £1059 at Amazon), when I scrolled down the Amazon page to find this: Why do they think you'll need a paint roller tray to go with this guitar? Just asking!
  12. I'm completely confused. Where does "American Elite" come in the Fender pecking order? Is it above or below "American Professional", for example? Lovely bass, by the way!
  13. Makes a lot of sense - thank you for sorting this out.
  14. Oh, I was looking forward to trying the Club. And that Roscoe looks a beauty. Never mind! Next year...!
  15. I had no dealings at all with Martin, but Ped's eulogy and some of the comments on here have made me realise what I missed out on. Thank you for that, guys, and my thoughts are with his family and friends, who could surely have expected to be with him for a great deal longer. Very sad.
  16. @Mada Music Any chance of your bringing this to the Midlands Bass Bash on 4th September? I'm sure there are quite a few Basschatters who'd love to see/hear this awesome thing (and - with any luck - more than 30 people will be allowed to congregate!)?
