  1. Hi all I'm still waiting for the invoice from the people who run the Prospect Street venue, but I've made an interim donation on our behalf to the Nordoff-Robbins music charity. I reckon there should be a bit more, but I'll send that when I have the full expenses to hand.
  2. I have just bought a Vintage Reissued Series Jazz from Jason and I couldn't be happier with the way the transaction has gone. The bass was offered at a great price, it's arrived exactly as described - very promptly - and it was beautifully packed up for the courier. Our communications have been great too, so I can highly recommend him, both as a Basschatter and as a person to do business with. Thanks, Jason!
  3. You'll fit right in! This is the place to find replacements, if you want them. The forums are full of gear and of advice abolut gear. Enjoy nosing around to find what you want.
  4. Seriously, Colorado is a big place, I've heard. Where are you based?
  5. Hi Khaled, the advice from @TheGreek will stand you in good stead, but just roam around on the forums for a while - you'll learn all sorts of things beyong just playing. Good luck!
  6. Sounds as if you already know your gear - you'll be right at home here!
  7. The man is a legend and his basses are even betterer. This looks very tempting but - like you - my Shuker P is more than doing the job. GLWTS!
  8. And my 34" Shuker a super-Uke!
  9. You're right - these are such fun to play and they've got plenty of pizazz - and clank if you want that too. I miss my Daphne! GLWTS.
  10. Some gear porn from the Bash. Enjoy!
  11. Some more pix of the event, focusing on people rather than gear. (But I can do even more of those as well, if there's a demand!)
  12. What's going on between the pickups? It doesn't look like a ramp, but maybe that's the idea? GLWTS, btw!
  13. Who needed padded trousers in 1976?!!
  14. aaarghhh! Everyone but me.
  15. Here's one to be going on with. Note prominence of cake. (And lack of prominence of @Richard R )
  16. I went straight to bed when I got home - trigger finger and rubbish cold notwithstanding, I had a great time and I'm glad everyone else seemed to enjoy themselves too. Just sorting out some pix to upload, including the group photo.
  17. Yes, please @NickA I'll be bringing some too and I think there'll be others!
  18. Sure, @Richard R - I'll bring a couple of spares.
  19. Great - thank you @Frank Blank.
  20. There's an Aldi just up the road for sarnies, pies, etc.
  21. This is beginning to look quite healthy!
  22. If you're selling this, what could possibly be your dream amp?
  23. This is quite brilliant, Richard - thanks. We only have access from 9.30 am, so if you're arriving at 10, you (not just Richard!) may well be recruited for table/chair moving duties. We'll have tea and coffee available - and maybe even cake - so please bring some small change too (that's an OG expression meaning "cash", for our younger viewers). Let the Hunger Games begin! (that's an OG expression meaning "queue for cake" for our younger viewers).
  24. No need to ask - you'll be very welcome! And your mates. Looking forward to seeing the gear and y'all.
