  1. Isn't that part of the fun? Lovely piece of kit though - GLWTS!
  2. You've done everything to this that I should have done when I had one three or four years ago! I hope your sale goes through - it's an absolute bargain!
  3. What a beauty. Are you sure about this price? - seems an absolute bargain. GLWTS anyway.
  4. Eyes peeled! 👀
  5. So far so good - no scratchiness, no clicking comp. However, has anyone got any ideas of where I can find a suitable gigbag for this amp? I wondered what others are using... Any suggestions gratefully received!
  6. Mine has just arrived - got in under the wire! It was so cold from the courier's van that I'm literally letting it warm up to room temperature before even connectng to the mains. Gives me time, I suppose, to study the typically skimpy manual. Fingers crossed re pots, etc.
  7. But don't bother with Wikipedia, which refers only to the electric and acoustic guitars made under the same brand in Korea for the US company Samuel Music, based in Illinois. The Talkbass forums are much more informative. Lovely bass, by the way - GLWTS!
  8. I've always wanted to try one of these - their reputation is first-class and yours looks wonderful. Have fun with it!
  9. There's a Sterling Ray35 on here at the moment, think it's @Leon C 2 who's selling - might be worth a look? GLWTT!
  10. Still, look on the bright side, that's £70 saved all round, thanks to @stewblack😊
  11. OK, that was the referendum at work. Before it, in 2015, the £ was between €1.28 and €1.44. Apologies for the inexactitude 😉
  12. Bloody gorgeous! GLWTS.
  13. Mind you, five years ago, the £ was worth a few bob against the € - not any more!
  14. This thread is becoming like the Ex-Wives Club! Beautiful instrument - I kinow well how versatile that East pre-amp is. GLWTS.
  15. That's some claim! Rich Brown is a tone god. GLWTS!
  16. Oh God, that last sentence meant that I convinced myself and I've only gone and pulled the trigger. What have you done @stewblack? Will have to put it through my PJB C4. "Tasting notes" to follow!
  17. These Digbeths are really tempting, and it would be great to support a British brand, but there seems to be very little about them in terms of online reviews, even here on BC (though a fair bit more on the pre-amp pedal, which seems to have been very warmly received). But the heads aren't £149, even the 200w!
  18. £239.80 on Amazon!
  19. That's giving it away!
  20. Oh God, I've just found something called Gbase!  My GAS is already a real problem, but I can't unsee this site.

    HELP!

  21. That's kind of you, and I will certainly PM you, but I sincerely doubt if I'm the only BC-er who's interested and would love to know more about such an iconic instrument!
  22. Amazing! Do you have any information you can share about the history of the bass and maybe some specs? Having the pictures is great, but more info would be even more helpful, for instance one picture seems to show the edge of a bridge "ashtray", but it doesn't appear in any of the other pictures. Thank you.
  23. That's really tastefully done. GLWTS.
