    This is sooo tempting. Tokai have a wonderful reputation and I've been thinking about trying out a Hardpuncher for years. This though would tick off two boxes at once - Tokai and Thunderbird. However, I have too many basses (apparently!) and I'd have to justify whether or not it would get much use, so I guess I'll have to pass this time. If it's still available in the autumn (I hope not for your sake, and I can't see it not selling at this ridiculously low price), I'll be tempted again. GLWTS (but I don't mean it!).

    They had a lot of Burns gear from a collector last year - mostly guitars - but the barracuda is special. If it's still there, I'll ask if they can bring it or let me bring it!

    I had one of these - the lack of the tweeter doesn't hold it back. Full, warm - even rich - tone and plenty of oomph. Great price too - good luck with your sale!

    Apologies, by the way, for having been out of contact the past few days. I was in deepest, internet-shaky West Wales over the weekend and started a new job yesterday. To answer some previous questions, the room is a usable 24m x 8m, with a couple of very useful (re)movable dividing screens. Power points are reasonably plentiful and spaced along the long sides of the room. We will have access to the kitchen for essential tea and coffee making. Any volunteeers to take a spell serving/taking payment?
