Sounds like some high speed motor boating is going on. One of the op-amps oscillating? Suggests decoupling caps are faulty (or op-amp is blown). Check the soldering for dry joints (big cap bottom left corner in the underside looks a bit blobby). Gently wiggle the cables... any crackles? Lift one leg on the caps (green ones and electrolytics) and put a cap tester on them. Otherwise you need a 'scope and follow a signal through.

Something is obviously vibrating, but what, where and why... If only certain notes it sounds like a resonance thing. Are the troublesome notes harmonics; does the octave of the nota also buzz? Is it volume related? If you have another amp, can you connect that to the suspect speaker? Can you plug the Frontman's amp into another speaker cab? This should isolate the problem. Possibilities; Something loose / foreign body in the speaker. Check the speaker spade connectors, bridge wires, surround and cone for splits, anything stuck to magnet, plectrum in speaker (!). Mechanical noise - something loose is rattling. Dry joint in the amp + cabinet resonance. Dirty pot or jack socket + cabinet resonance. Can't think of anything else...

Assuming (!) the truss rod was correctly installed from the off, and now it's doing nowt', something must have let go somewhere. Truss rod come loose at body end, truss rod snapped or nut run out of thread? What is the adjustable end like - allen or hex nut? Try some washers under the nut?

Hmmm, not a fan. Tried some on the Precision and they were very flat and boring. Took them off after a week - you can have them if you like... but there's only four of them 😉

I had to do something similar when I swapped out a PJ's J PU. The split P pickup should be wound RPRW (Reverse Polarity Reverse Wound) so it works as a humbucker. It is possible it is incorrectly poled with the two halves wound out of phase but the magnetic poles the same. If so, half of it will always be out of phase with PU2 giving the symptoms you report on two strings. Check to see if the P pickup is correctly wired / magnet poled by connecting a meter on ohms range across the pickup and pulling an allen key off the pole pieces - this will show the true phase of the PU. Reverse the phase of PU2 and try it - OR - do as paul_5 suggests and reverse half the P pickup (this looses the humbucking as a single PU)... Ideally a two PU bass should have the two PUPs wound RPRW so they hum cancel when combined?
