2. Hi Carl, It looks like it is another issue with Google Chrome, I couldn't donate on that browser but did it fine when using Edge! Anyway good luck and get out there training!
3. I feel sorry for him clearly he asked for a guitar and for some reason what he got just didn't seem like those his mates had got and he is not entirely sure why!
4.
How far away is your nearest GuitarGuitar? Many of these kinds of questions can be answered by simply going to a shop & playing one.
I have to agree, I only ended up with mine because I wanted a Sunburst Precision with a maple board and a guy I knew locally was selling a Roadworn, it is probably the best Precision I have ever played, I still feel the reliced look is cheating but purely as a bass guitar it is a fantastic bit of kit
5. I really regret selling my Bass Collection SB801 as it appears to have been the only one in existence, my SB601 Fretless because it was the best fretless bass I could ever want and my first Fender Precision because I didn't know what it was and got offered very silly money £1400 (considering I paid £300 for it) by a local dealer who promptly sold it to someone who was looking for my exact bass, some years later it was divulged it was a 1963 body, electrics and case mated to a mid 70's maple neck....which still at the time suggests £1400 was still decent money for what was a bitsa bass!
6. More Shergar than Shergold
7. If I am honest, I don't really understand flats, if a sound is too bright you back the treble or tone off a little? If the sound is too dull and the tone or treble is up full then you put a nice new set of Elites on? Flat's seem to exist to give you that played in string feel? I understand the use of flats on a fretless to protect the fretboard but personally I don't like the feel of them on my fingers, they are so smooth it feels like I will get "rope burn" if I slide my finger too fast, which on a fretless seems to defeat the object of a fretless? Sorry, lots of question marks in the above but I really don't understand flats!
8.
Manchester Guitar Tech do a nice range of coloured nitro and are not too expensive. They can also mix custom colours if you want. If you use a spray you will need good ventilation, whether poly or nitro. The advantage to nitro is that each coat will merge into the previous. Poly will form distinct coats, which will be visible if you sand through. Basically nitro is a bit more forgiving.
Totally agree, I have ordered loads of paint from them I have never had a bad can and the results I have achieved have way exceeded my expectations, I find Nitro much more forgiving than the current Halfords car paints
9. http://www.halfords.com/motoring/car-cleaning/shampoo-polish-wax/autoglym-intensive-tar-remover-325ml I have always used this to remove glue residue on my poly finished guitars, I have never used it on a Nitrocellulose finish, if you were going to do that I would recommend trying it on a tiny unnoticeable area first
10. Dunc, I can highly recommend the Squier Mike Dirnt basses, you can pick them up for less than £200.00 in decent condition, they are nice and light, mine plays fantastic, I have replaced the electric with a Seymour Duncan and CTS pots and I have refinished twice so far, once in Shell Pink and now in a TV Yellow colour similar to the Telecaster colour. It was a cheap bass so I don't mind modding it and I actually gig it more than any of the other Precisions because it is light and great to play, if you are ever down my neck of the woods you are welcome to come and try mine and I guarantee you will be seriously impressed!
11. Fatboy stuff is fantastic, I have a pickguard and knobs on my Strat it looks absolutely gorgeous

14. Ok so here's one that's probably off piste to many but Voyage Voyage by Desireless the finest of French cheesy pop, no actually possibly my favourite song ever!
15.
Thanks for that! Now I've got the f**king Birdie Song going round my head! NANANANANANANAH! NANANANANANANAH! NANANANANANANAH! DER DER DER DER!
Great and you just re-enforced it...now I have forgotten that banging my head on the wall hurts but does not remove said Birdie Song
16.
Looks like the original listing is this one : http://www.ebay.co.u...=p2047675.l2557 Andy
Well found Andy Thought I had seen the image somewhere before, I would say it is a scam then!
17. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1966-FENDER-JAZZ-BASS-Candy-Apple-Red-Electric-Guitar-175586-Beautiful-Vibrant-/201809683376?hash=item2efccb63b0:g:h9cAAOSw44BYmIFp Can anyone remember if this was one of the scam pictures that was doing the rounds a couple of years back? The listing just worries me, zero feedback account, only one picture, a low starting price and "contact me for more pictures and info" it has all the markings of a scam to me...of course I could be wrong!
18. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Westone-Thunder-1-electric-bass-guitar-/262841436723?hash=item3d32920a33:g:lcQAAOSwLEtYmcVo This is the first time I have seen one in this colour, it looks really nice and for once it seems a sensible price, there have been a few on Evibay in recent months at £400 +
19. Signed, but I have to agree with the previous comments, I doubt it will have much of an impact. I was offered the chance to buy tickets at face value for Ed Sheeran's up coming Nottingham gig, I let my colleagues have them I am washing my hair that night I have already seen comments as to how much they could sell them for........I somehow doubt our MD will be over impressed if he finds any have been sold for inflated prices though!
20. I run the LM3 and 2x10 traveller cab, I use it for 99% of gigs adding either the 4x10 or 1x15 for gigs where the bass is not through the PA, I couldn't be happier, fantastic kit, totally trouble free thus far and I always get comments on how good it sounds. If you ever over my way you are welcome to come and try it
21. Absolutely wonderful cab if you have roadies to move it for you, I think it is a bit expensive given it has issues, there was a better conditioned one on sale last year for, I think it was £225.00 and even that hung around for a while. I miss the sound I got from mine big time but never once have I missed lugging the thing about!
22. You do have to wonder whether Donald's executive orders will have an impact on Fender's Mexican operations?
23.
£799 'starting' bid. I've seen them as cheap as that before though.
I would agree but I think Stingray or MM in general prices seem to have been on the up in recent months, whether it is a temporary thing only time will tell. There is a 5 string MM Sub USA bass on evilbay at the moment with a starting price of £525.00 which just seems way too much given the price of this 5 string
24. Yeah I looked at that and thought it was a good price, fortunately I really don't need another 5 string at the moment
25.
http://www.ebay.co.u...d0AAOSwUKxYkdNo I do not need another 4 string I do not need another 4 string...
Neither do I but I am sure I am as tempted as you are! So collectively....we don't need another 4 string...and breathe
