As a covers band playing 60's to 2000's music our 45 minute set list comprises of around 16 songs.

You could always subscribe to Bass Guitar magazine as they are offering a Blackstar Fly 3 as an incentive to new subscribers. The Fly 3 has an mp3/line input which you could feed from the headphone socket of your computer. I use a Vox Pathfinder Bass 10, put my bass through a Tascam GB10 and feed the output from that into the amp. I have used a Peavey 20w Minimax? with an 8" speaker which I liked and then regretted selling it.

You could also put an ad up at your local rehearsal studio and on this site.

I found found SBL useful and subscribed. You could try Scott's free YouTube lessons and also drop in on Scott Whitley's offerings.

My longer short scale basses fit in a Fusion Funksion electric guitar gig bag if you can get one.

Depends upon what type of string you are looking for. I buy straight from the manufacturer Newtone which are a British company. Have a look at www.newtonestrings.com.

Can only agree with the comments from Mastodon. I have watched the video reply from Scott and from using both his YouTube and SBL content (I'm a member) I can believe he is more than a nice guy in real life. Like the hat (me being follically challenged as well) and the wrist watch by the way Scott.
