  1. As a covers band playing 60's to 2000's music our 45 minute set list comprises of around 16 songs.
  2. I like the look of determination on Julia's face in the wheeled vehicle photo and there's a cheeky over the shoulder (model style) smile on her face in the above post. Just gorgeous Andy. I hope everything goes well for her and the family.
  3. Good choice there crazydancer. Hit the classifieds if you find you need greater wattage in the future.
  4. A very nice bass there Simon, welcome to the ACG owners club.
  5. Keep the gear for the meantime CyberBass you can always move it on later. I hope everything goes well as you recover further.
  6. I hope you do not mind me downloading this to use wal4string? it is a song I have been thinking would be good to have a go at for while. Unfortunately I think your grandson will have the playing edge on me. Thanks again.
  7. There were two issues of the Highway One series, the first had the bridge as per this bass and the second the Badass. Not sure of the year each were introduced.
  8. John, should have said it's in the FAQ post towards the bottom of the page. BR Alan
  9. The cab kit price is on page 21 John.
  10. This looks like a cracking piece of kit to build Stevie. It may even spur me on to finish my floor standing hifi speakers. Pm will be sent.
  11. You Can't Do That and Something About You Baby I Like as new set songs. Their first outing will be in in June.
  12. Also so add the Bass Collection brand to your list. These often come up at good second hand prices in the classifieds.
  13. That's the one MartinB. I used to take mine to practice nights with a loud drummer and 2 guitarists and it always held it's own.

    obbm's feedback

Just received two short speaker cables from Dave and as always super quality and fast delivery. Many thanks Dave.
  15. You could always subscribe to Bass Guitar magazine as they are offering a Blackstar Fly 3 as an incentive to new subscribers. The Fly 3 has an mp3/line input which you could feed from the headphone socket of your computer. I use a Vox Pathfinder Bass 10, put my bass through a Tascam GB10 and feed the output from that into the amp. I have used a Peavey 20w Minimax? with an 8" speaker which I liked and then regretted selling it.
  16. You could also put an ad up at your local rehearsal studio and on this site.
  17. Never thought they were that bad, has usable tones and still got mine.
  18. I found found SBL useful and subscribed. You could try Scott's free YouTube lessons and also drop in on Scott Whitley's offerings.
  19. My longer short scale basses fit in a Fusion Funksion electric guitar gig bag if you can get one.
  20. Depends upon what type of string you are looking for. I buy straight from the manufacturer Newtone which are a British company. Have a look at www.newtonestrings.com.
  21. Can only agree with the comments from Mastodon. I have watched the video reply from Scott and from using both his YouTube and SBL content (I'm a member) I can believe he is more than a nice guy in real life. Like the hat (me being follically challenged as well) and the wrist watch by the way Scott.
  22. Nice one ead, a 'quite interesting' bass😁
