Purchased a set of short scale strings from Marc which were promptly shipped and received. Excellent communication as well. Thanks Marc.

We still use a paper diary held and controlled by one person, me. As with any other system electronic or paper it is not foolproof as my fellow band members have to relay the dates they are unavailble, but at least it is a hard copy for reference (or dispute). I am the contact for any bookings as well so have a certain amount of control on preceedings.

I use an Ashdown RM500 with a Barefaced8 Two10 and find they work well together. Also used an Ashdown Retroglide 800 which provides a very flexible rig as it has graphic equalizer tone controls (they tend have pretty good second hand prices), and a Trace Elliot Elf to good effect.

We met a solo female artist using backing tracks at a charity concert, she said she had never sung with a band so we invited her along to one of our rehearsals. She is now our lead singer, but still does some solo gigs. In fact our only gig for next year so far was gained via her agent. We have been doing open mike nights in local social clubs to get used to playing together live and have gone down very well but looking at the acts being booked at these places they are tribute bands or tribute solo singers (typically Elvis or Rod Stewart).

There is a thread on here somewhere which compared the eq of the popular micro amps including the Warwick Gnome. Would be worth a search.

Another Newtone user here. They can offer short scale strings from their standard ranges by specifying you want a 30"/30.5"/32" etc scale length on the order page, or go for the Shorties which are 30" scale length but on request they have wound 30.5" ones for me.

The Platinum are really nice strings, I use the 50-110's on my shortscale basses.

I have noticed recently that the Amazon deal flits between the Lekato and Joyo devices when one is at full price the other is reduced (£79 down to £59ish).

Ashdown have their Tone Pocket headphone amp which has usb and line out options. Unfortunately the usb is a micro socket.

Another Gorilla stand user here, not had any problem with them.

A thumbs up for Leathergraft from me as well. They are not expensive but are very good quality and very easy to deal with (they even made a shorter length ladder section for me for only a few extra quid).
