  1. Would the song allow playing the odd A an octave up?
  2. Elkie Brooks especially when singing in Vinegar Joe with Robert Palmer who had a decent voice himself.
  3. For Dood's contribution(s) to the bass community I'm happy to contrubite.
  4. As Boodang states the Spectrdrive would be a good choice as there are plenty of downloadable toneprints and they are an easy transfer from the phone app to the pedal via the bass pickup.
  5. Just finished breakfast, a tidyup next.
  6. Sounds like a great result Marty.
  7. Hope everything goes well - knock 'em out (musically of course).
  8. I have been using a version of the gear4music pedalboard 5.8Ghz wireless set which has a built in tuner, cable length pot and the internal battery will recharge the transmiter and also power effects pedals, cost £99. I have had no problems with it so far.
  9. I think NancyJohnson means the bands set is an hour, the Legato bugs will probably last for 4+ hours.
  10. It would be no joke it's a long way down in those heels😁
  11. +1 to that. Sorry to see your back giving you so much jip Lozz.
  12. Just mount the speaker on the stand and shim it. If you use a piece of plastic you can keep it in the stand bag and use until it needs replacing.
  13. Nice looking bass Rayman. Remember the math, the number of basses you need is always n+1 where n is the number already in your possesion😁
  14. You could look at a TC Electronics Spectradrive which can be used as is or change the Toneprints for the compressor and drive. I looked at the Nux but was put off by the software glitches.
  15. +1, nice compact setup Smanth.
  16. Sad to hear this one of my favourite bands. Rest in peace Ray.
  17. If it's of any help and you could get a Basschat relay going I would be happy to do a leg from Lichfield'ish (so close to the M42, M6 and A38) to the Holmes Chapel area around the 14th April.
  18. My short scale flats are around 18 months old and replaced 50 - 110 nickel roundwounds with a smooth winding so slightly higher tension than standard without requiring any mod to the neck relief. I did fit some medium scale 77's which were higher tension and came in the older cardboard packaging but actual age unknown but could have been 5+ years. I echo the comments regarding musicality and balance.
  19. Rotosound 77's are pretty stiff flats but the gauge can/will depend on the scale length.
  20. Fantastic looking bass there, ACG's are great basses.
  21. You may want to post this in the Wanted section of the classifieds.
