    It mightbe worth investigating Newtone strings as these have been fitted as standard on many ACG basses. They also offer a variety of string types to choose from including a custom option.

    It's not mega thick but iscomfortable. The thickness of the leather and padding allow the strap to spread the pressure over the shoulder rather than in one place. PM me if interested in the strap.
