    I was able to update my own Mid-2012 MBP to Mojave. I would say you're not missing much, unless you really want Dark Mode. I'm also seeing some poor performance compared to High Sierra.

    Very interesting read. I’ve long hankered after a Stingray myself and have been looking closely at some used examples. It’s worth noting that the Classic Stingray has the 2 band EQ, which supposedly sound warmer and less scooped.

    Not heard of this one. At work we all use Retina MacBook Pro’s, now 5 years old with no screen problems. The keyboards on the latest models are another story though....

    Be aware that the database isn't completely up to date. My 2002 BMW motorcycle was exempt when I checked a few months ago, but wasn't when I looked again recently.

    I don't know about the coating but I when I first tried flats (D'Addario Chromes) I found my articulation was poor until I'd got used to the feel, which took a couple of weeks. I think it was the difference in friction between fingers and string, compared to rounds.

    I like playing this one live, despite not liking the original particularly. Drop D with a Hipshot extender (agree with previous posters, they are excellent and, set up correctly, the tuning is rock solid). Another thing to enjoy is that there's no bass in the first verse, so you get to come in for the chorus with a neat fill.

    I have the 6 string bass (https://www.revelationguitars.co.uk/guitar/rjt-60-b/) and for the money it is superb. Build quality, finish and setup all great. There was one small flaw in the paint but for around £200 I wasn't too concerned.

    I assume you know that you don't want to go down the Hipshot Bass Extender route? I use one for exactly this scenario and I love it.

    I’d agree the Fender Rumble 500 is a good bet. A friend has one and it sounds great.

    Agreed. My Sleeve is going strong after three years. It has a cavernous pocket too.

    I think your batteries are connected in series to provide 18v to both the active circuit and pickups, in which case they will run down at the same rate.
