1. Karnivool - new day. For such a spacious sounding song there is far too much going on for me to handle.
2. The Dillinger Escape Plan - One of us is the Killer Tesseract - Altered State Cant think of any more that jump out at me.
3. Think I may have an old set lying around somewhere. If not I'm due a restring of my basses anyways
4. Had two lessons from Nick Schendzielos (Cephalic Carnage/Job for a Cowboy). Learned more in those two hours than in 6 months
5. Arif Mirabdbaghi Les Claypool Ryan Martinie Nick schendzielos Evan Brewer Amos Williams Loads more but these are the ones I'm listening to mostly at the moment
6. I think someone should take better care of their several thousand pound bass. I wouldnt and don't take my eye off my bass if I'm in a public place.
7.
*wanders off laughing to self*
You are in no position to be wandering anywhere!
8. "Anybody want to hear a joke about a nun and a bottle of whiskey"
9. Does it sound/feel good? If yes, continue
10. I prefer Musicman Sterlings to Stingrays. I'd say it depends on the persons preferances in all honesty
11. I had someone mail me asking about a bass I had once but it wasnt asking me to sell it or anything, he just wanted to know how it was feel/sound-wise since there isnt much of them popping up. Cant imagine your situation is that common?
12. I'd probably put most of it towards driving lessons (or if I already had a license) towards insurance/road tax etc. And leave enough to go to a really really good restaurant and treat myself and my girlfriend.
13.
Hmmm, they've gone out of their way with Photoshop then: http://www.alembic.com/info/fc_knobfest2010.html "The bass is now permanently on display at the Knobbersham Music Hall" To be fair, by all accounts it was a April Fool...
"waiter/waitress call button" Eh?
14. Few bands with excellent and noticable bass players/basslines Between the Buried and Me, Protest the Hero, Mudvayne, Karnivool (could be seen as metal depending on which song you're listening to), Cephalic Carnage (listen to Ohrwurm), Gojira, Monuments, Tesseract. Just to name a few
15. I use the rooms rig for 3 reasons. 1. I can't afford a decent rig. 2. I would have no way to transport it. 3. The place I practice has an Ampeg Svt 8x10 and svt heads so I have no need to
16. i played one a while ago and hated it. however about 2 months ago I played a Sterling Ray 34 in the guitar shop. less than a week later I bought the thing. I love it!
17. For the tendons in my wrist I was maybe 6 months healing. I think to be honest it was a wake up call I needed to change my right hand technique. Not had the problem since.
18. Maximum the Hormone Karnivool Primus
19. The way I see these things. If you're in any doubt at all, even just the tiniest little bit. Dont do it.
20. Bought a laptop from Rob, easy guy to deal with, quick delivery, well packaged etc. Can't ask for much more!
21. A few reasons. The main two being I don't feel I'm very good by any standards and I havent found a band that I've really felt like things "clicked".
22. Sold Dan my Spector Piezo 5 and when it arrived there was a problem with the jack, now repaired (I believe so) Would have no problem dealing with him again!
