1. A few reasons. The main two being I don't feel I'm very good by any standards and I havent found a band that I've really felt like things "clicked".
2. Sold Dan my Spector Piezo 5 and when it arrived there was a problem with the jack, now repaired (I believe so) Would have no problem dealing with him again!
3. Not rock in the musical sense but there is a rock just randomly lying on my girlfriends bedroom floor. No idea how it got there (she doesnt either) but its been there for about 18 months and it feels wrong to move it. Its like having a pet rock.
4.
Polyester nylon mix?
That's the one
5.
Is it the ones with the press stud fastening sides?
Nope, ones made from what I can only guess is some form of plastic. I feel them melting to me if I get above 10 Degrees celsius.
6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9VLy1h3DYY&list=LLrCzKZdOiTmZho-LddwkpRA not by any means the heaviest but still pretty damn heavy
7. I own a pair of nike trousers which on occasion I have been known to wear. I justify them with the 'they're incredibly comfortable' argument, which in fairness they are incredibly comfy.
8. The last 2 sections of Vacuity by Gojira. seeing them live made Meshuggah seem like Katy Perry.
9. bump. £125?
10.
"If you dance, I'll play" usually shuts them up. But if they agree then everyone's happy! Apart from the person trying to dance along to a randomn Tool bassline.
Never had that but I know several Tool basslines and I am on a train (bass wedged in) right now. So there may be a chance!
11. Travelling around with a bass on a bus/train. That and the fact that momatter how good I get, I'll never be happy with that.
12. +1 for the combination between picking and fretting hand being used.
13. Just noticed that comment. Pm'd!
14. As a good friend (and very good drummer) said to me in his broad edinburgh-esque accent "Never play wi sh*te"
15. Dont know about it helping learners but after playing it I do think it could help! Good little piece of fun too if I'm honest
16. urgh.
17.
It's tiny!
Thats what she said. Nomatter how much I wish to be taken seriously in life i cant pass up a good 'ol penis joke.
18. Price too high?
19. bumpity.
20. Bought this bass a while back when I was in a (somewhat) mellow indie-ish band and since leaving that, Ive just not touched it which is a shame. Someone may as well get the use out of it, better than it collecting dust! So here's my Spector Piezo 5 string. There is a small crack or dent in the finish around the input jack (which I've taken a photograph of), apart from that there are no dents or anything that I can see. Weight is 8lbs 9oz according to bass directs website. 35" scale, Rosewood fingerboard, 24 frets, quilted maple top EMG HZ passive pickup with a Fishman Piezo bridge. 2 tone knobs and 2 volume knobs. I love this bass but sadly I tried a Musicman Sterling yesterday and have decided I love that more. Any questions just ask and I'll answer as quick as possibly (usually pretty quickly as I'm always on the interwebs). Looking for what I paid for it which is £275 and I don't have a gig bag or a case sadly (sorry)
21. I cound 4 to 5 easy. Infact I found 5 easier from the beginning. Will soon (credit rating permitting) be going bacm to a 4. Could be interesting.
22. Pump. I mean bump.
23. I know I said this on the third but I will actually do my best to upload photos soon. bump
24. I'd rather enjoy it fully than stress out about playing 2 sets.
